- In 1963, Veronica Duncan married the future Lord Lucan, a decision that would change the trajectory of her life. They lived in Mayfair, surrounded by fellow aristocrats and living the high life, but their newlywed bliss was due to come to an end. Lord Lucan's gambling habits and impulsive attitude caused their relationship to sour and he began to psychologically abuse Veronica, even going so far as to medicate her. Their tumultuous relationship would culminate in what was considered to be one of the most notorious crimes of the century and Lord Lucan has never been seen since.
