ABOUT THE LRB
Since 1979, the London Review of Books has stood up for the tradition of the literary and intellectual essay in English. Each issue contains up to 15 long reviews and essays by academics, writers and journalists. There are also shorter art and film reviews, as well as poems and a lively letters page.
A typical issue moves through political commentary to science or ancient history by way of literary criticism and social anthropology. So, for example, an issue can open with a piece on the rhetoric of war, move on to reassessing the reputation of Pythagoras, follow that with articles on the situation in Iraq, the 19th-century super-rich, Nabokov’s unpublished novel, how saints got to be saints, the life and work of William Empson, and an assessment of the poetry of Alice Oswald.
A beautiful woman who was loyal to her gambling husband who treated her badly to discredit his wife and murdered the Nanny in mistake for his wife then he attacked his wife strangled her and she fought back and survived the attempted murder although head and facial, neck wounds.
Sounds like a stretch....
What about the Goa theory?
it is now known that lucan escaped to the limpopo valley in botswana where he lived protected by wealthy land owner friends his children came out to see him
Up to a point Lord Lucan.
Based on what evidence ?
Very interesting.
.Pity she was estranged from her children, especially after what she went through her children should have rallied around her, when she really needed their love and consideration . What she went through was enough to damage anyone psychologically..
He: don't forget the unibrow. Summers in Florida? Winters, surely? Summers even now can be too much (I live there!).
It took the Brits a while to figure out why they could get cheap summer holidays in Florida! I am a Brit btw.
Lady Lucan killed the nanny. Then lord lucan. Simple as that
