Luciano would run past capybaras every day, but he never interacted with them until one of them took shelter from the rain under his umbrella. Ever since then, the two have been best friends. Luciano visits Capi (that's her name) and gives her all scratches she asks for. But everything when Capi's babies arrived...

How do you think Luciano and Capi's friendship has changed since the arrival of Capi's babies?
where is this park?
The capybara are aloparents. They each babysit and look after each other's kids, 24/7. Thats why the mom just let her kids run off. She actually *expects* Luciano to help keep an eye on the kids. He made a buddy, and the capy just outsourced her babysitting. 😋
HAIL CAPPY
Other than the paternity lawsuit for Luciano?
You really had to make this story overdramatic by adding a narrator.
It was a trap she needed a nanny for her babies. Mission accomplished
I know, it is the first example of negligent motherhood that I have seen on a nature show.
I've never wanted to hang out with a rodent so much! I can't believe they're just...out there hanging around in a park, how cool is that?
You mean like squirrels?
@@scottsatterthwaite4073 you mean tree-rats?
@@scottsatterthwaite4073 these animals are amazing. They are so mild mannered and cuddly. Ive interacted with these animals before and I just love them. So adorable. Even in the wild they are so mild mannered and they love to interact with people.
I know I'm so jealous
They don't look like rodents. To be fair, I never knew these animals existed, amazing creatures.
I've read somewhere, that Capybaras are considered the stoners of the animal kingdom ,basically because they're sooo chill and relaxed!
If they could talk, they would be like: Hey dude what's uppp!😅
'Stoners'...love it! Indeed, with that sleepy look they have and cool and calm demeaner...🤣
That accolade surely goes to The Sloth!!!
This is of course said by an American. Americans don't have a clue about anything and go 'duh' all the time.
Fun fact- They're the only animal where accompaning their movements with cartoon sounds is appropriate
I'd say sloths are
I was attacked by a capybara once. I fought it off with belly rubs... close call!
You courageous man, you! It's a bit like my labrador...very dangerous. She kills with kisses. Amazon delivery people and mail man fend her off with many pets and belly rubs, too.
@@misottovoce Must be some epic battles !
@@ChiyoriMizushima Oh yes! The Amazon fellow who deliversed next door today walked up to my gate just to sacrafice his hand getting slobbers and cuddles. Filipa is indeed dangerous.🤣🤣 (She's a vanilla Labrador...11 years old.)
I love Capybaras. They are beautiful animals with a gentle spirit 💜😍
guinea pigs are very similar to capybaras-- not just in appearance but in temperament too... the same relaxed, happy demeanor when they feel confident and safe because of their surroundings...
I didn't realize this until seeing another video (on this channel, I believe), but they also make very similar sounds! The only real difference is their love for water (where I've had very few Guinea Pigs enjoy it).
Handsome, kind man with precious little fur friends. What’s not to love!
Thanks friend Virginia
I like how the Captbaras jump into the water like a Dog lol.
I didn’t know how adorable and precious Capybaras were until I started watching Urban Rescue Ranch here on RUclips 🥰❤️🥰❤️
Fire of Learning has a sister channel called Peanut the Capybara. He gets into all kinds of mischief!
Beautiful creatures!
Sadly no more capybaras in his recent videos
Is it normal for them to be this friendly? This is SO cool!👍
Yeah, capybaras are kinda just Like That.
Capys befriends literally ANYONE who's chill enough to sit around & hang out with them, even animals that would usually see them as lunch or dinner
Humanity's fingers/hands are probably the most divine things to all the rest of nature, once other species realize how good petting feels and how ready we are to feed them. Our hands are like the sign of a life of luxury, to creatures we care for.
i love capybara
If there would ever be a reason for me to feel jealous, then THIS is it. Awesome on several levels.
Capybaras.
The most friendly and chill Animals to ever walk the Earth.
OMG THAT BABY CAPYBARA WAS SO LITTLE! I love this channel.
I think my life would be better if I lived where these critters were running around free
i wish such a place were near me. Spending time with animals that like you beats being around so many unfriendly people that are everywhere.
Cutest giant rats ever!
Na they not rats , capybara lives in clean environment unlike rats 🤢
Capi adopted a human & uncle Luciano seems happy about it.💜🐾💜
Between Capybaras and Marmots they are too cute!
Yessss!!! 1000% agree! Marmots and Capybaras are literally my 2 favorite animals! Something about the sweet faces they have.... 💕😊 Next on the list: baby rhinos. Google a few videos, you'll thank me later 😉
@@BenjamintheTortoise they are always in my short videos now on my feed and don’t mind at all.
I am thinking if I was there with them I would become so relaxed I would laydown on the grass and take a nape with them .
happy day 🙂
Capi thought“ oh, handsome guy. I sneak under his umbrella...“' it worked out. Look at Lucianos smile. He looks SO happy when he meets his furry family. Now they cuddle happily ever after....❤😊
That was a adorable video. They are sweet creatures.
And the capibaras are great too.
TRUTH.
I'm so jealous of him.
big coconut little coconuts 💞
Awe ... absolutely fabulous !
Fun fact abt Capys... they poop A LOT and love rolling in mud so in captivity keepers usually dye the water white or blue so visitors cant see how gross the water gets and complain
Lol! That's gross but good to know! Anyone with Guinea Pigs could certainly believe it (that they poop a lot). I wonder if the mud kind of acts like a 'sunscreen' for them, as it does with a lot of other species (which is why they roll in it, like Hippos, for example).
SO CUTE BIG HAMSTERS!!!
*Guinea Pigs. They are basically giant more aquatic Guinea Pigs. 😊
@@KyrieChii fun fact you probably already know but they are actually cousins to one another as both are caviidae.
Not hamsters, guinea pigs
This is lovely 🌹
Been watching capybara vids since days. I thought they were Guinea Pigs before.😊
love capybaras. very cute
An orb and scepter for the Capy King,
Sitting on his throne with a golden ring.
Hailed by subjects as kind and fair,
They would follow him anywhere.
I have never been so jealous!!😅
That is so cute and very sweet❤❤❤❤❤💖🌹🌺
I love the way they nibble on the grass.
I had no idea how big they are. I thought they were the size of the babies. How amazing that you can see them in the park with all their friends on a daily basis. It's really lovely.
They can be 75 lbs to 150 lbs look like big guinea pigs except with course hair
Thank you. I'm really surprised.@@trixiesmom5066
Capybara is the most docile n friendly animal ever..they can make friends with crocodile n other animals too
A friendly dinner for the crocodile.
First time I saw a capybara was at the zoo with a sign that said they are the world's largest rodent! That creeped me out but over time I have regarded how cute they are, but I am not sure I would pet them because I keep thinking of rats. I am glad they can bond with a human being! So cute.
I just can't.... They are so flippin cute!!!! ❤❤😊
If one could have one as a pet, I really wouldn't mind. They look very sweet.
They really are. If I could own 1 I most certainly would
I've had to settle for their much smaller, less aquatic Guinea Pig cousins, but they are also a bundle of personality all their own. 😊
I've seen videos of people who have them as pets
Apparently, the meat is quite sweet and mildly gamey.
Argentinian here. They would be difficult to keep as pets because a. They need a body of water. b. They poop A LOT. c. They can and WILL get out and come back with friends 😂
I live near a place with a lot of them and we mostly consider them chill neighbors, though there are some ranches that keep them. They are harmless, and many of them even friendly. If you are, say, sitting with friends in a park, it's likely that a capy will get curious and come close, and they just hang out for a while. It's lovely to watch them living their best life.
That's so cool! He was nice and his umbrella one time and then the capi was like, "yep, we're friends now" lol
I have had their itty bitty cousins, guinea pigs, for decades now. I think GP’s are the most adorable creatures God ever put onto planet Earth. Their little antics and mannerisms constantly have me saying “awwwww”!!! I know I’d similarly love Capys.
Same! They have such unique personalities & mannerisms. Nothing cuter than popcorning, or curling up like a cinnamon roll to sleep.
@@KyrieChii and some of them can be so cuddly! Great little pets!
@@jumboJetPilot They really are. I think the 'perpetually grumpy' ones are just as fun as the more 'playful/cuddly' ones too. I have one little Grump (who tolerates pets for treats), & his buddy has exactly the nature of a Capybara (a lap pig that loves attention). We've had almost every breed at some point. We even had one figure out that he could push his back up & drag his pigloo (plastic igloo) around with him like a turtle. 😆
@@KyrieChii I love the grumpy ones too! I had a father/son duo and the father was this sweet, gentle teddy bear who would start purring softly at the mere sight of my hand approaching to pet him. His son was always trying to be the alpha, always trying to prove a point, but always kept me amused in the process. And the son was smart too! He did the same thing with pigloos. He also learned how to open the latch of their travel cage when he wanted out, among other mischief that he loved to get into. I remember the first time I plumped a bell pepper into their cage. Normally I would have sliced it up but I wanted to see Peanut tackle the challenge. The three of them looked at that pepper and said “OMG, that looks delicious, but how do we eat it?!?” Pumpkin and Mocha gave up trying after a couple of minutes. But Peanut figured out that he could roll the pepper into the corner, pin it there, and then put enough pressure on it to take a bite without it rolling away. The first sound of Peanut taking that first bite sent the other two running to join him! That was among the many things that Peanut figured out over the years; he could trick me instead of the reverse. When he wanted more food he’d try to hide their existing food from me to make me think that they needed more. He was ornery!
That same grumpy one, Peanut, did have one adorable trait though - every time I’d pick him up he’d make a beeline for my right shoulder, climb up there, turn around, and face the same direction as me. He always wanted to be my right hand man!
@@jumboJetPilot Lol! Those stories are wonderful. Maybe son thought he could steer if he acted like a parrot 😆My current Grump is similar to the 'son' in your story, he's too smart for his own good, stubborn & ornery/mischeivious. I just had to have him when I spotted him at the Petco... He was smaller than some of his siblings, & decided the best way to get his turn at the food bowl was to sit in it, on top of the food so only he could get to it.
Back when my brother & I were teens, we each had 2 & my Mom had 1, so when we let them run around on the floor (with those little gate things) I had a whole herd of furry potatoes following me around. I had 2 brothers at one point that must have 'imprinted' on me (they were teeny weenies when we got them) & they'd follow me around, want to be on my bed with me all the time, & I could put my hands out flat & they'd walk up my arms. People who don't experience them don't realize how smart & emotional/social they really are, or that they have as many unique personalities as a dog or cat would.
Oh course I'm of the opinion that all animals are a gift that makes life a more enjoyable experience. The _only_ downside is their relatively short lifespan (I think the oldest we ever had reached 8, but that sadly wasn't the average). No matter how many you've had, it never gets easier to lose them. It's so nice to share these stories. 😊
My mum would tell me stories about capybara’s and how they are sweet . She told me like any creature, they will attack when feeling threatened , however, for the most part a capybara are docile animal. I have loved them ever since .
Capybara has 24/7 chilling face.
They sure grow their Guinea pigs big down south!
Capybara are very social animals. They are chill and can bond with any species, there have seen Capybara hanging out with crocodiles
There is videos of them riding on their backs lol.
You are so lucky, I love these animals, but live in Australia where we don’t have them, to watch them is next best thing ❤️❤️❤️
Would you say that they could maybe be your favourite animal? 🥰 thank you for watching. We hope you encounter a capybara in person sometime during your travels 💃🏼
Capybaras are giant fluffy potatoes that are as gentle as they come.
Luciano De Capybaro
Awesome video ! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
It's like my neighbor Totoro!! ❤❤❤
You know, considering how surprisingly chill these animals are, I'm surprised that the native populations of South American never tried to domesticate them.....
Wonderful video that i think everyone would enjoy watching. Second, Luciano is a kind and loving person who obviously loves animals as much as they love him. Animals seem to know who to trust even if it's a wild animal. Anyhow i really appreciate what Luciano has done for these beautiful animal and wish there was more ppl like him!
From movies like "The Princess Bride" one might have the impression a rodent of unusual size would be vicious. But they have no natural enemies, they don't need to be violent.
What a great story ❤
These guys are the most chill on earth.
Everybody is just as curious as me, they all want to know where this park is. There are many who would like to sit along side these cute hamsters. Your nobody till you kissed a happy on the snout. They are precious. Many of us are deprived of Caleb's 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Nice capybarra!! Such good friends!!!! I enjoyed this video!!!
The capybara is every creature best friend
They are just sooo cute!
I love capybaras they are so awesome, I got to pet some and they were so friendly
Awesome Animals!!!! Like a giant Guinea Pig!!!
❤❤❤ oh wow what a special bond he has, they are gorgeous, cracking good video thanks 💖😁
What country is this?? Where can people see and just walk up to a herd of wild capybaras in their neighborhood?? Also, it is adorable the way Luciano looks at the camera with Capi.
Brazil, thanks friend
@@lucianomochinski9540 Cool!
They are also in Florida now.
What City?
Cap pi area's are so cute ! Sweet little bundles of joy. Absolutely precious. Doesn't mention the location of the park. There are none in my city. Just curious to know where there are happy parks. I would love to spend time with these endearing animals .😍😍😍😍😍 precious, they ARE simply precious !!
Into my favorites list this video goes
That Capybara reminds me of one of my nephews.
This is absolutely beautiful
Love Australia
Wholesome.
They may be ugly and stupid, but you can still love 'em!
Precious ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Their adorable ❤
You didn't finish your sentence. Don't let us hanging :P
Yes, indeed. They're adorable.
They’re
@@Ysundeneth This was a clever way to correct someone's grammar. Lol!
So sweet. I love animals that love humans. 💛
That’s a special relationship
They are essentially large guinea pigs!!😊
They are adorable creatures, she must have seen in him and that grew into a great story.
We don't have them in England. Which is a shame. Because they look great animals.
These capibaras live in Barigui park, Curitiba, Brazil.
💕💕💕💕
I love them all 🥰
I've never been jealous of anything until now
멍 ~~ ❤
Cool
So SP❤ILED... 😁👍🏾😆😃🙂
So beautiful
I love capybaras. I swear if we end up wiping them out somehow I will be so pissed.
I’m praying that I will have the opportunity to give my love to a Capybara(s), ❤❤❤❤
Must - not - click - capybara - video ... dang, they got me again! ;)
They are amazing. I love capybaras. They are so chill and friendly.
10/2023....I love this video and revisit it often. It makes me so happy to see these unique rodents. I have other videos of the few people who have been able to adopt these critters. One couple in the USA, in Texas, has a pair. They let them in their house, they sit on the furniture. One of the males will even wear a pair of the "human's" eyewear. Just for chuckles. They look so smart wearing glasses. They have a medium sized kiddie pool, for the Capybaras to swim, & bath. They are so peaceable. Docile too, I suspect. I think they prefer warm climates, and I doubt many can even consider adopting them.
Infinite happiness. 👍 💯🦛
I want one! They're so cute.
0:12 "Luciano has been visiting Capi for years."
Capi setting him up for child support.
Am I the only one who finds adult capybaras cuter than the baby versions?
They had more babies and lived happily ever after 🥰
I know these are wild animals and they have very specific needs... But I wish I could have one if I can provide it with proper care and environment.
The first time i found out what a capybara was i was watching Bobs Burgers! Then i looked them up.
So cute, the capybara reminds me of hippos but in a small package with fur.
That is why they are called the hippos of the rodent world. The only difference is hippos are dangerous while capybaras are completely harmless
