The color coding for peer edit is such a great idea!

Breakout EDU is great. As a student in college, we played this in my education class and we freaked when we saw the timer on the board as we walked in.

An effective editing technique for spelling is to read the writing from end to beginning so that their eye is not seeing what is expected but what is actually there.

Mrs Sadler's Lemon Sip
Mix 2x lemon rind and juice
1oz citric acid
1 quart boiling water
Mix together and bottle
Then comes the good part, add a small quantity to a cup, add boiling water, and sip away, will initially be hot then will become cold as you enjoy the taste.

The Lettered Classroom yes I make my own games and I've created PD for it. I'm working on my video now. It's taking a little time because I want to be as clear and precise as I can be, so others can duplicate the process in their classrooms.

Yes. Likely after Christmas.
In my school we use no red ink and we also use this thing called my on and it is awesome!! You can use this website called clever and it has all the apps that help for kids so I would really consider using that for your kids. My on is just a reading app where you can read by your self and it can also read to you!!! If the student doesn't understand one of the words, they can click on the word and it can can up with the definition. I really love that website and it is just something you should try and mess with it!

I really want to be a kindergarten teacher ! But how did u finance all that class decoration? Are you working in a private school? I live in Canada and I never saw a class as pretty as yours!
My husband and I made the decision that my classroom was a priority for us. Since hearing about the Ron Clark Academy we are believers in this style of teaching. Providing engaging lessons in a creative environment can do wonders for kids attitudes.
It took more Time than Money to complete the transformation...Tomorrow we will transform into Pirates!

I did a 'Whats on my phone' video which 'Wheel Decide' was nice enough to support with a sponsorship. Those are the main apps that I use consistently. I do use others but it is always changing. I will continue to try and mix them in throughout videos as I discover new ones.

I make most of them myself. Some I buy off of TpT. If I make them I try and put them on my blog store. I don't have the Story Map posted yet. I never know what people will be interested in purchasing.
Just a suggestion But you could use google docs.
just curious, you said you teach ELA so is that the only thing who have taught and if you could would you like to teach another subject?
+olivia doo - I taught 4 years of Kindergarten. I enjoy teaching everything, but I am really enjoying focusing on ELA. Down the road...who knows!

I spoke about it quickly, but I think I lost that footage while I was trying to get back to feeling like myself. I will go over it soon again. I did have to make some changes.

I remember watching you so long ago when you did kinder in another state. At that time the videos were purposeful, planned, and full of content. Now days it seems unorganized and more a video of us watching someone talk about their minute to minute thoughts and activities--what is being eaten, where people are going, etc etc. I miss the quality, rich-in-content, and so so helpful videos of the past. I love your ideas, but I am a teacher, too, and really value my time. We all work hard, have families, run errands, eat, blah blah blah let's get back to the great content for helping our kiddos! (I really am a fan, but loved your more concise and purposeful videos, they rock!)
