In my country (Italy) we don't have proms and things like that,but this video reminds me of this party I came in 1 month before the pandemic:
I went to one my ex-friends's (let's call him Sal,obviously it's not his real name) birthday party.
Before I start,Sal was my elementary school's classmate,we were in the same school in middle school but in different classes,and in his class I knew some people because 4 of them were our elementary school's classmates and another girl (let's call her Katie,it's not her real name of course) that I knew when I was doing basketball at school in 7th grade (it was one of my worst decision of my life,but...whatever.).
I was glad for that,because I didn't have a social life in that period of time (I was in 8th grade,middle school ruined my social life) and I wanted to recover our friendship.
But that party sucked.
Sal and our old classmates didn't considerate me at all,I was like a ghost in that party,and Katie insulted me (I don't remember what she said to me,but I think she hated me because I suck at basketball).
When we came to the restaurant,seeing Sal having fun with his new "friends" I was going to cry,but I tried to don't do it because I prefer crying alone,not with that a***oles and strangers.
I calmed myself when my parents went to take me home.
If you're wondering how I'm feeling now...don't worry,I feel better,I don't want to talk him anymore and I found better friends :)

I had a 5th grade prom and I honestly had the mood to cry during it. For my school 6th grade is elementary and 7th is when you go to middle school, I honestly wasn’t ready to grow up and this song perfectly described my mood. It was also prom and this song was about love, no couples danced together but my friends barely talked to me. I had sat behind my crush and then I got up I remember vividly. A guy I barely knew hit me with a balloon from the 6th grade graduation, looked at me, smiled and then said “bonk” and I chased after him. I was so happy to get attention. Later on in the summer break, we started talking more and more and I always felt like he was my comfort person. Thank you mitski for memories 💕💕🫶🏼
