- April can be one of the best months to fish in Wisconsin but so many anglers wait until inland game fish season opens in May to get out and start fishing. That's a big mistake in my book! Here are 5 great opportunities to get out and start fishing earlier this year.

So nice to have some early season opportunities in WI!! Enjoy every day of fishing!! Appreciate every video you produce!!
Yes it is! And thanks.
The walley runs are the best
So fun!
Great video! I chuckled at the footage of you fishing in the bay between Superior/Duluth because I work at St. Luke's and on overnights the sign that my shift is almost over is seeing all the smaller fishing vessels pouring out from under the lift bridge.
Haha. Thanks!
Gotta a bass probably 16 inches bluegill fishing today on a 1/16 jig with a Berkeley honey worm and crappie nibble.
Nice! 😆
Let's go!!!!
👏
This is great information and i look forward to this, but when are you going after the Mighty Red Horse? ;-D
I will be at some point!
What happens if you catch other game fish when targeting bass in the early season? Can you get in trouble with the wardens even though everything is released?
It’s not illegal to land other closed species when you are fishing for an open species, however it is illegal to “target” other species, meaning that if you are casting jigs with fatheads into a school of walleyes and continue to catch them without changing what you are doing and the warden is watching you they may have a problem with that. If you just catch a couple incidental pike and walleyes while casting a jerkbait, (which happens a lot) that’s allowed.
Thanks!
Those fish are almost half the size of the ones we catch in Michigan
Everything is bigger in Michigan…
Especially our heads😅
