The way that you explain the basics of electronics and the circuit itself is awesome, you make things pretty easy to understand.
there are many tutorials about boost converter, but ..... You are the best in explaining it - loved your videos !!!!!
Very useful! Thanks to your previous video about boost conv. i had won a county physics competition, i won a 32GB U3 sd card, a Parker Vector pen and some goodies. I used a relay as a inductor, 4 aa bats as V source, a tact switch, a 1n4148 diode, a 470uF 27V cap and two 1M ohm resistors, because i had found that higher loads give out higher voltages, most likely because the cap discharges more slowely.
Thanks for making those videos!
Glad to hear that!
Nice!
yall get stuff for making circuits? 😭😭😭💀💀💀💀
I still get excited seeing those nice brick brown tantalum capacitors. My favorite. Great video.
thats the video i have been looking for
very good Chanel for learn Englishtronic for me. thanks.
the electrical pencil or lighter high voltage relais prinzip , for 40 years it was a chrismas or birthday gift :) :) :) ,,, if this relais drive a mosfet with toroit coil , it works as a powerful up voltage charger , with a shunt or temperatue sensor and schmitt trigger , it finished loading automaticly
Absolutely awesome!! however, Joule Varas connection is simpler, and no additional power source is needed. runs on batteries alone.
Awesome.
I wonder how long the relay would last flipping that quickly though.
☺
about as long as me in bed lol
Saudações LS Ludic Science. Muito bom. E simples. Mas, por que a alta tensão não danifica as pilhas??? Tudo de bom.
Actually I worked to this circuit last year because I tried using relay oscillator as a switch for boost converter
I made one that uses a 555 timer and a mosfet and a inductor out of a computer power supply, I can get just over 400 volts from a 9v battery! i might make a video of it.
this is a very useful video for teaching purposes
Could this be used as a battery desulfator ? 🤔
this is the best youtuber ever!!
✌
He is certainly one of the best out there, that is for sure.
I think I'm going to try a version of this to drive a flyback.
You should have tested it with a load at the ouput.
But still it is a good demonstration of the circuit operation.
That’s cool, relay oscillators are really cool, but highly innefiecent. Could you do another video on the circuit using mosfets?
Also could you make a video using crystal oscillators?
If you look through the videos on this channel, there is already an oscillating circut with a mosfet.
Go big
Can't you use the inductor inside the relay as the circuit inductor?
Very interesting for using a relay as an oscillator. By the way what might be the frequency of this oscillator?
Can you please make voltage doubler from relay and 2 capacitor
how about using attiny 85 + potensio to change delay value high low high low high low?
Where could I get a meter like the one you used to measure the inductance of the coil?
Ebay
Ok but what is the name of the meter?
What power it could gain? How long can such relay work?
There is no power gain
Ludic Science gain means obtain. What power you can obtain in the output?
Professor - Is it possible to use this circut for a flyback driver?
No
Professor, forgive the question please. I understand that there is inherent instability in such a circut. The theory behind the voltage ramp is very interesting.
you could make a buck converter like that as well
What exactly is a boost converter used for?
getting a higher dc voltage from a lower voltage
Nice video
And the amperage goes to 0.0001?
Nice!
please say nut again 🤣
nah just kidding m8 keep up the good work king :D
That's useful but i think the output voltage is Ac
Tech's Science There is a diode used just before the capacitor , so the output is actually DC because the diode acts as a half wave rectifier.
karsanuma just not pure DC without a lot of filtering to get rid of the ripple.
It has a diode and a capacitor so it's DC
Go big
Now use it to drive the primary of a transformer
Use the 12 v output of your 120v to 12v+12v transformer as an input
