Once you go frugal you never go back. My wife always teases me that if we were to win the lottery I would still be buying the managers specials at Krogers.
Kroger employee here! If you wanna score more of those friday/saturday/sunday coupon specials, do two orders! Use your downloaded coupon on the first order of 5. Then on the second order ask your cashier to use their fail safe (paper copy of the coupons). This only works for the Friday/Saturday/Sunday coupons.
I had my frugal meal moment a couple of days ago. We had pulled chicken, added a can of soup, a bag of broccoli, and a cauliflower rice veggie mix. Low carb casserole in 15 minutes all from stuff I had in stock and it was awesome! Cookin like Christine!!!!
I love that you scan the receipt into Fetch in the parking lot! I never thought of doing that, and I can’t tell you the times that I forgot to scan it, and by the time I remember, it’s passed the time frame it should have been scanned. Thank you!
Well I went into a store for a coffee sale and they were out. I did however hit a sale on chickens lol. Whole Perdue roasting chickens reg 1.99 a lb on sale for 1.49 a lb but due to them being dated feb 29th they were 99 a lb. I got 14 chickens yes I sure did. I have been shopping like this for over 40 years and I save a lot that way. I love seeing your deals.
The stir fry can be frozen as is and then we just cook it a skillet or in a stew. The peppers can be frozen and used in any cooking form just like frozen onions you can freeze the sweet potatoes and salsa also just throw them in and pull them out ty
Hi, so i have to tell you what happened to me yesterday. I was at my local Dollar General getting massive clearance items, anyway, i walked out and an random sorta acquaintance stopped me and asked if I had kids, but grown kids, she asked do you guys eat cereal? I said of course, she said I was omw to food pantry to donate, my husband works for Post cereal company, i want to share. She gave me 10 boxes of a variety of cereal and cereal bars. How awesome is that? Paying it forward! I live by being kind. And random acts of kindness are theBEST! Anyway, love ya girl, u rock!!💖
Omg so glad i found your channel, i was looking for a mom with a lot of kids like me (4) who likes fitness ,like me and is not a 20-30 year old influencer just talking about how it’s tough in the winter for their mental health while they have everything, spare time , free clothes, makeup they don’t have kids to take care of and they are complaining pffff so glad i did find you girl .
Like how you explained your plans for your bargains. Great ideas as always. I chop and keep a stockpile of peppers and onions on hand in the freezer because it cuts down on cooking time (and tears, ha! 😭🧅). Also keep French bread on hand in the freezer to make garlic bread/pizza bread/french toast with. 👌🏻
I stocked up on household products at Dollar General today with their digital coupons. I bought two All Free & Clear laundry detergents, two Seventh Generation free and clear dish soaps, Eucerin lotion, Crest Toothpaste, and four cans of soup for $9.10. Between the digital coupons, Fetch, and Ibotta I think that's some pretty good savings. Thanks for your frugal ideas!
I went to smith’s today too didn’t know there was a Ibotta for the playtex! The coat looks amazing on you by the way. My butter coupon and Twix bars didn’t come off and I had an item that didn’t come off with sale price going back to have them fix my receipt they owe me $9.50 always check to make sure everything comes off right before you leave the parking lot
Here in Cincinnati we know to check Kroger receipts they always mess up. If it's a mis price error then up to 5 dollars of it is free. So of you buy bread thats price says 4.59 but they charge you 4.89 saying once they verify that the tag was labeled for what you said then you get all that back 4.59 and keep the product. Just for 1 item if you bought 2 then you'd get 30 cent back on the second. This is a huge problem with my kroger store they forget to pull last week's sales or some other sale label. It's sucks for them but it's been an issue at the same store for 10+ years so I don't feel bad just reap the benefit. I've done this and it informs the store of the problem and come back my next week and they still havent fixed it.
I am military so I go to the commissary a lot, it would be so awesome if someone could get you on base and see if it really is saving you money. Then you could compare all the stores and see which one is cheapest!
OK so one of my many jobs at one point had me verifying the purchases for ibotta! So a couple of tips. It's much easier to scan the receipt if you find an empty checkout and just use the belt before you leave the store. Enough people use them that it's no big deal. The other thing that's helpful is to take a pen and mark next to the item that's on coupon. Also it your think it "might" be too dark? It probably is!
I was at Kroger the other day. I found English muffins 2 for 1. So I grabbed a second one since I was buying the first one. I didn't believe the sign. So I asked the cashier to check it, and it rang up. I always get the same cashier every time I go, he's nice.
This is a cute video...I say this, as I am the baker in a Frys Marketplace (Kroger) in Gilbert, AZ...I shop this way all the time, lol. I see everything daily, and I know when to get those sale items...although its hard at this time.
I’m an Australian and I’m completely confused lol 😂 Where I live we don’t have coupons but we have specials. I think it’s so wonderful that you scored so many bargains for under $50! Awesome shopping. Love your channel.
I used Fetch and Shopkick to get Hotels.com gift cards for our upcoming trip to Florida. Gotta love getting money back for things you were going to buy anyway!!
We shop at the exact same Smith's. I always try to be there around 9:30ish so I can catch the clearance dairy free yogurt as she puts it out. I had no idea that Smith's had such great clearance until I saw your channel. We are dealing with a food allergy and multiple intolerances and it has helped our budget so much! Thanks for sharing!
Smith's in my town is way more expensive than other stores. Milk is 4.20 and other stores its 3.39. Mine doesnt even offer those types of clearance items. Its fun to watch what she gets though!
I shop this way as well. But I haven't been doing 100% like before. I don't do the savings apps except for the couple grocery stores I shop. And haven't gotten every coupons. I used to not buy if I didn't have coupon. But I do always buy from clearance meat, bread and all other areas that have clearance. And I too should stop shopping and use all what I already have. But I'm like you that I'll find something in freezer and maybe a little freeze burn but it's fine for the most part.
My biggest deal lately: Darigold high protein milk is usually $4 per half gallon. Walmart has it on sale for $3, coupons.com has $1 off each one, and ibotta has $1 off each one. So I'm getting them for $1 each, 75% off!
Wearing the pretty new jacket. Great mega and weekend sale this week. Hubby went with my list; spent about $50 and saved over $40. He even found a few clearance items - hooray for a husband that knew to look for them after shopping with me for a few months. I had morning hair cut and he had the day off. Our Fry's/Kroger you only need to buy 5 or more, not in multiples of 5. You did great.
Don't know if it qualifies as a deal. Was not on sale. But, it was an amazing price. I got a one-pound package of ham for 2.98 (compared to 8.99lb in the counter). It's just cold cuts but it's lasted me (single person here) an entire month (3 slices 3x per week). I also got 12 boneless skinless chicken thighs for 7.50 which, in my area, is cheaper than the value-pack. That will also last me a month or longer. Ibotta is hard to use and so far, none of my brands has been featured (I'm a brand-true shopper because of allergies). Fetch is much easier to use. I got around 5000 points in my first month so I think that's pretty good.
I have changed the way I shop since I started watching your channel. Thanks for the money saving tips! We are also a family of six and it can get sooooo expensive. I have really picky kids, and I'm learning to just say "eat what I make, sorry! (Not sorry!)" Thanks!
2nd favorite video. I have no idea how to use these apps for savings and usually just end up wasting time and paying full price. More like this please and thank you!
Ebates is great! Around Christmas 2 yrs ago I did alot of shopping that I Normally would have anyways..and made $90 ! I also found a site called BeFrugal which is like Ebates as well except they pay you monthly instead of quarterly..check it out! You can also hook your rewards card to it as well I believe. Great video..the Meatless meat alone would have been $50!. The viewer who sent you the coupons is awesome!
Hi Christine! My Kroger store is Fry’s in AZ. They’ve changed the buy 5 save $5 to buy 5 or more and save $1 each. So you don’t need to stay in increments of 5 after the first 5. Soooo you could have kept your drink mix if you wanted. 😊
We went grocery shopping today and got some pretty good deals. I need to start using Ibotta again. I love Fetch because of how easy it is to use. I went to Kroger today and got Eckrich smoked sausage for 1.88/pack (picked up 3 since my husband is the only one who eats those). Found Barilla spaghetti noodles on clearance for 49 cents each, I got all three. My daughter has been wanting to try the Annie's mac-n-cheese. Found some for 1.79/box so got her three of them (all three were different so she could see which ones she liked). Got 2 boxes of cereal. We already have about 8 boxes and didn't have room for more. I also picked up a few convenience meals that were b1g1f at Publix. I don't buy things like that often, but I work this weekend and most of next weekend, and one day this week, so it is something easy for the rest of the family to cook (and I can take it to work). We also have a busy week ahead. Oh yeah, got two packages of flat bread for 1.49/each on clearance. Those were probably some of my best deals. The rest was just stuff we needed for the next few weeks.
FYI unopened cereal is good for 12 months past the expiry date. As long as the plastic bag it comes in isn't opened or punctured you can keep it for a good long while hun.
Sooo...I had a cashier tell me a couple months ago that you do not have to buy the 5 for $5 items in increments of 5. You need to just buy at least five items and then it qualifies your order. I wanted to double-check it before I told you. I went to our Kroger affiliate this morning after my workout and got six items that were on the deal. The discount came off on all six items. Not sure if this is true for all Kroger affiliates, but it is certainly true at mine here in Phoenix, Arizona. Just thought I would share.
The nearest Kroger is two hours away. My mom and I are going to make the long trip down in April, thanks to your videos!!! She wants hot& now! It is right next to the store. Hit two for one trip!!
Omg girl im so happy. My mom bought me a instant pot today from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow Maybe. I can not wait until it comes oh my goodness girl. So that means ill need some instant pot meals to cook and ill be turning to you cause i just love ya to death and your family too. Im still working on getting a air fryer from Wal-Mart and a small food processor and i still need to get a good blender but one thing at a time right... Ill get there. But with the instant pot tho ill be able to take my slow cooker back to dallor general and save the counter space. Yeah winning baby!!! Thank you so much for all your inspiration!! You rock girl!!
I went to Aldi today and got a pack of chicken drumstick for only $2.78 a pack! (It had a $2 off sticker) I wish they had more, but I absolutely always stock up whenever I see these Sales!
I’d love to see a video where you only have $25 per week or $100 for a month to spend on fresh food and then have to rely on your freezer stash. I love those types of videos. Keep up the great work.
FrugalFitMom -Would love a video using the cash back apps like ibotta & the whole process start to finish on how to go about using them. Such as, choosing what app(s) are best/ recommendations, using multiple apps in one trip & how it works when shopping/checking out with them. I'm so curious about these but would love to see how a pro does it before I try them!
Johanna Elizabeth With Fetch you just Open the app and take a picture of the receipt, that’s literally all you do. With Ibotta you have to open the app, scroll through the deals and click on the ones you bought (or are going to buy), then upload a receipt and sometimes it makes you scan the UPCs on the products. You don’t use the apps while you’re checking out paying for the groceries.
I got one of those "shake up" type salads in my local Ingles store yesterday for $1.49 and it was so good! They had about 4 marked down but I only got the one. Went back today and they were gone. Bummer! ☺ Good deals! The nearest Kroger to me is about an hour.
I started watching your videos yesterday i think? I took the clearance shopping to heart and bought few deli meat and cheese boards to portion into snack containers!
So glad I watched this today. I was going to get the brats at Fred Meyer but the digital coupon app didn't say it was a 5x event and I didn't want to go there for one package. Also, I didn't know about the butter! Thanks!
Once you go frugal you never go back. My wife always teases me that if we were to win the lottery I would still be buying the managers
specials at Krogers.
MrBudbubba that’s great 😁
Then you'll be one of the few lottery winners who actually doesn't go broke. 😂🤣😁😉
LoL
Never pay full price for anything you can get on sale! Lol!
Rock'n the new jacket you treated yourself to. Well done!🙏
It official I am addicted to your channel, thanks Christine 😜
Me too!!!!

I really appreciate your energy. I found your channel a couple of days ago and now I'm addicted to watching your vlogs.
I'm so happy your channel has grown so much! Whenever I look at your subscriber count, it's always higher than the last. Good job 🥰
That's better than going in the opposite direction!
Because it turns a different color and that’s always exciting 😂 🤣! I did and it WAS! 🙌🙌🙌🤷♀️😂✌️💕🥰🇨🇦

You’re looking especially pretty this day, not just your everyday pretty that is. 😊

Thanks for the Fetch App recommendation!!
My Smiths lets you buy any amount after the first 5. It makes it so much nicer so you don’t have to keep track after you pick the first 5.
If your bread gets a little crumbly after you thaw, it will toast well. Our bread usually only stays for about a month when frozen.

I highly recommend looking into buying/ switching to a menstrual cup if possible. There is a some upfront cost but pays for itself.

Do you have any “training” “how to” videos for using the reward apps?? Would love to see some!!
Yes i find a few of them a little confusing
“We have some trips planned later this year.”
Me: *Laughs in future 2020 quarantine* 😆
I’m an Australian and I’m completely confused lol 😂 Where I live we don’t have coupons but we have specials. I think it’s so wonderful that you scored so many bargains for under $50! Awesome shopping. Love your channel.

Yay! A new video to start off the weekend. 🤩
These are my favorite videos! Thanks for taking us shopping with you 😁
Your jacket looks so fresh and comfortable, love it!
You are blessed with your Smith's market, my Kroger is one of the most expensive grocery stores in my area

Yes!!! I'm living for these videos!!!
I'm bulk shopping next week. This week will be freezer pantry cooking. You're amazing thank you.

You are a frugal genius I luv ur tips and ideas and dat top looks fab on u 😍 xxx
It's the jacket! Yeah!
My butter was $.99 at my Fry's (Kroger) today!
We went grocery shopping today and got some pretty good deals. I need to start using Ibotta again. I love Fetch because of how easy it is to use.

Those were probably some of my best deals. The rest was just stuff we needed for the next few weeks.
Wow girl those points on your Fetch!!!!
You need shopkick too! They often have deals that stack with ibotta nicely.
I shop the same way you do. No one in my family understands it. I love it.
FYI unopened cereal is good for 12 months past the expiry date. As long as the plastic bag it comes in isn't opened or punctured you can keep it for a good long while hun.
I was able to find pie crusts for .49 a box!
I just bought that jacket too and I’m obsessed! 😍 so cute!

My children & I like to freeze our grapes for a snack 😁
My daugher likes them like too
Omg girl im so happy.
Totally got the butter deal today! Whoop whoop!!🥳 I shop the sales only and/or if I have coupons, Ibotta etc... 👍👍💵💵💰💰
First..my frugal fit mom Christine...much luv, katie I love your videos..
Great deals, especially the butter, I would use it to make ghee. No Smith or Kroger in my area, ugh. The jacket looks nice on you.
Loving the jacket! Can honestly say that finally having a smiths will be so nice!
I went to Aldi today and got a pack of chicken drumstick for only $2.78 a pack! (It had a $2 off sticker) I wish they had more, but I absolutely always stock up whenever I see these Sales!
Good buys as always. Nice to stock up at a good price, even when you have tons of stuff .
I wish we had deals like this in Canada 🤗 I always enjoy your videos.
I’d love to see a video where you only have $25 per week or $100 for a month to spend on fresh food and then have to rely on your freezer stash. I love those types of videos. Keep up the great work.
The BuffBunny jacket looks great on you! Always LOVE your discount shopping.
No discount naan.... is this even a haul? 😂😂
Right?
Ok Sis!, I see you in that new jacket!!! 👌🏼 Love this video!
I got one of those "shake up" type salads in my local Ingles store yesterday for $1.49 and it was so good! They had about 4 marked down but I only got the one. Went back today and they were gone. Bummer! ☺
Good deals! The nearest Kroger to me is about an hour.
I’m sorry if you have did a video on this before but could you do a video on how you stay fit? Thanks
The bakery sale rack you mentioned... my mom & I call it the “used bread rack” 😂😂
Can I just say that your channel is my new fave? I wish my Kroger had good clearance selections, but they don't 😞. I'm still trying to budget.
I don't have a problem. I'm fine. Everything's fine. 😂😂
Totally chop peppers and onions and put in freezer to use for future meals. #savethatmoney
Love all of your videos! I had to click the thumbs up button because of what you said about it changing colors! Too funny😄😄😆
I started watching your videos yesterday i think? I took the clearance shopping to heart and bought few deli meat and cheese boards to portion into snack containers!
At Kroger they have the dog feed.Stock up on 5 bags.
Just got home from stocking up on butter at Fred Meyers!
Loving the buff bunny jacket 😍
Congrats to you and your crew!
I got clearance naan bread today!!! Yay! Omg! I also racked up 60$ on Ibotta this month
Killing it!!
I love your stockpile I take a lot off ideas from you
So glad I watched this today. I was going to get the brats at Fred Meyer but the digital coupon app didn't say it was a 5x event and I didn't want to go there for one package. Also, I didn't know about the butter! Thanks!
Did you know if you use your ibbota code it alerts us that you saved at a store. 😂then I think a new video might be coming.
I got the apple sauce packs for 2.50 from 12 a box for 20 of them. I bought them all. :) Love Kroger shops.
I was just going to go so thank you! We have a King Soopers instead of Smith's
You're giving away all my secrets!!! I was at Smith's this by 9:00 stocking up on these deals. Woohoo!
I use fetch for target cards and rarely pay for diapers.
That's a GREAT idea!
My Kroger’s only has moldy old oranges in the red bags
I feel your pain... bought a discounted fruit salad at Walmart and it was inedible
We have Kroger’s stores where I live in Kentucky.
Can you do a video on HOW you learned to coupon! Fresh newb over here!!
that's one thing I miss by doing Walmart pickup is that I cant do the markdown and clearance items.
