I appreciate all the videos you produce. I know it takes a lot of time to shoot the footage and then edit your work. I've never really thought about traveling across the pond, I've always thought there's too much here in the US to see. But from watching your videos and there's another gentleman in Denmark who also produces incredible videos. Between the two of you I may have to wonder over to your side of the ocean to check out some fly fishing. Again, I just want to let you know I really do appreciate all the work you put into your fly tying videos you're a great teacher. And I do know a little about teachers I've been married to one for a very long time she just retired after 51 years of teaching special ed mostly in junior high school. Take care of yourself, thank you.
Wayne, thank you for watching. You certainly do have some amazing fly fishing in the US. I am hoping to get over this year travel restrictions allowing of course.
Hi Lindsay, seen this pop up the other day, but I have been so busy. But glad to have watched it now. It was a bit different to what I imagined. But a great insight to cameras. I wish I understood cameras. I struggle and my memory problems prevents me from learning. I would love to have a drone, but already know it would be a nightmare. Just another thing to learn. Nice one mate. Take care Shaun.
Hi Shaun, I was lucky as regards cameras as I used to be right into landscape and macro. The video was and is a steep learning curve but I really enjoy it. The Drone is not as daunting as you think, once you get over the fact that it will not fly into the blue yonder never to be seen again....lol.
The 45mm macro is an outstanding lens. I am thinking about my next body already the GH5 looks good and should drop in price once the new Lumix arrives at Christmas.
@@lindsayiflyfish Agree with what Rhys said. Both of you are making excellent videos, they are getting better and better. Both very informative and helpful, and the filming and editing is excellent Did I mention how much I like the drone shots?? Oh and yes you need to hook up more
Thanks Lindsay, I love your videos and love watching and learning from folks across the pond. Its fun to try your patterns and have success with them here in Utah.
I'm a filmer fisher too just for fun, got saramonic as well, only use mobiles.ipad for camera control/drone mini2/mavic pro, gopros /gimbal/ underwater filming, now on a seatrout project at night with a sony ax 53 4k with night vision. Linsey I live near Stafford and will visit BFFI in 2022 hopefully see you there if you go again. Been filming and editing for a good while, one hell of a learning curve, deleted two clips from youtube, will start seriously uploading with my good friend Andew Overend as on facebook, boris is an alias
It’s amazing what you can do with very little kit. It is just a case of learning to use what you have. I will be at the BFFI, please come and say hello.
@@lindsayiflyfish I will and looking forward to it, your right, don't need loads of kit but needing a bigger bag of late in pursuit of quality and as you say, sound is of paramount importance, the tripod equally so. I'm camera shy but ok if I keep my mouth shut. I'm generally a salmon fisher but fish for anything with the single hander.
As usual you made it your subtle and to the point. All the p’s to avoid the dreaded poor performance lol. Also I am interested in the process of how you edit the footage to achieve the final result

Noted!
I’m looking to film my fly tying, I don’t know how to angle the iPhone/ iPad to film the best angle of the vice.
An Iphone will do it but you need to get close and lock focus. As for the angel you need to play around with your setup until your happy.
@@lindsayiflyfish thanks, I’ll have a play.
Is it possible to get external sound (speaker) and able to make calls with phone on loud speaker?
@@Jamie-Penney Not sure about that one sorry.
