Yes, the FAA's arbitrary hold here is unreasonable AND to do so as such harmful to the true public interest and contracts being arbitrarily, (perhaps fraudulently?) and unreasonably ignored, that public interest is in SpaceX's progress and success in meeting it's contracted mission deadlines, ultimately doing and furthering "the People's" business, imho. "History doesn't repeat, but it sort of rhymes", n'est pas? In 1938, Douglas "Wrong-Way" Corrigan earned that nickname by allegedly accidentally flying in the wrong direction for so long he was past the point of no return and had to continue on and successfully flew alone across the Atlantic to worldwide acclaim. But such a story and error with no one else to corroborate his story, it was alleged that Corrigan intended to fly the Atlantic alone in his aircraft but WAS DENIED A LICENSE TO DO SO BY THE CAB/FAA He was allowed to fly as far over land, for example, New York to San Diego, CA, so he prepared for such a flight and took off, but once out of sight from any spectators he turned completely around and flew the "great circle" route Lindbergh flew and landed in Ireland, delighting every Irish-American with the astounding feat/stunt. He never admitted doing so intentionally, which would have been a serious felony. It could be considered a reckless stunt EXCEPT Doug Corrigan did it for an little known reason: That little-known all-important reason was to demonstrate the astounding advantages and superiority of the air-cooled radial engine to intractable CAB authorities and general public opinion versus the required liquid-cooled standard surplus WW 1 engine that was standard in his Curtis Robin airplane before he swapped a radial engine on the airframe. Such a thing is little understood nor appreciated unless you know too the circumstances of aviation progress of the time. No one but Lindbergh and Corrigan appreciated the little-known-then BIG important advantages of reliability, fuel consumption and lighter weight the radial-type exclusively provided airplanes then. Lindbergh and Corrigan worked together before a decade earlier when Douglas Corrigan worked for Ryan Aircraft manufacturers that ultimately built Lindberg's "Spirit of St. Louis" that he purchased from them to become the first person to fly the Atlantic both alone and without refueling. Douglas "Wrong-Way" Corrigan single-handedly designed and personally built the entire wing of "Spirit", and continued such state-of-the-art of aviation fabrication and development throughout the next decade culminating in his astounding flight in his personal highly-modified Robin aircraft. The AIRCRAFT WAS BARELY AIRWORTHY with the standard engine, but Corrigan's radial engine and extra gas tanks completely rectified the mistaken engineering and the barely flyable airplane became capable of as much as transcontinental and trans oceanic flight. Perhaps that is what's happening now to Mr. Musk's SpaceX spacecraft launch-licensing.

Musk on Mars - Space Unicorns Using statements issued by Elon Musk I have calculated the viability of his Mars colonization project. Strap in, the G-forces will be very high. Musk admitted that 1 million tons of material must be sent to Mars in advance of humans to supply the components for safe habitat. That requires 10,000 successful launches and subsequent descents of Starship to the selected habitat area on Mars (100 ton payload per Starship claimed by Musk). In addition, Musk stated it will take 6 more Starships for every Mars bound vehicle to refuel those Mars bound Starships for the actual Mars journey. That's 60,000 additional Starship launches, allowing that there are no failures. This gives us 7 launches for every Mars bound vehicle. So in reality, at one launch per day (wildly optimistic = delusional, but let's go with it) it will take 7 days per Mars bound vehicle. That now totals 191 years to complete material transfer. 1) What will happen to the first material that lands after 191 years while it sits waiting for the final structural parts to be landed? 2) Who will finance each Starship? 3) Who will finance the cargo? 4) Who will finance the fuel mass needed to make the journey? 5) What can be done at the Mars site if material is damaged? 6) During the 191 years will there continue to be a viable SpaceX factory? 7) How many Starship launches will fail during the program to put material on Mars. 8) How many Starships will crash during the landing phase on Mars? These are the most basic problems. There are countless questions for the logistics to get started, keep it operational and do the costly program maintenance.
It's time for Spacex to begin talks with our friendly neighbors south of the border. Mexico will be more than ready to supply all the space for Gulf side launches and plenty of employees at cut rate prices.
Have they investigated that the Number Five is a Crooked Line and Incomplete Circle? Scandalous !!!! Oh yeah, Any Investigation should alsp be Applied to those Making the Claims. Failure to find the Claim Valid should be a Criminal Offense AND Heafty Fines. ALWAYS Investigate the Source of Claims.

Great content as usual. But it is funny watching your type battle between your support for SpaceX and space exploration, and you ideological commitment to supporting government and regulation. And since you can't see it, you can't see that government is being used as a weapon against SpaceX and Musk by his enemies.

There are countless questions for the logistics to get started, keep it operational and do the costly program maintenance.
should have moved nearly 2 yrs ago. china would be welcoming.
Sounds like somebody has it in for Elon. A 2 month delay over environmental concerns ???
Petty people 😖 who received what (💰)to delay this launch?
It´s tragic.
Should move part of his ops to England
There's a definite correlation between FAA desisions and Elon's support of president Trump 🤔
Elon needs to move his Launches of rockets to Mexico! I’m sure they would welcome him with open arms and tell FAA to go FO!
This report is a bit out-of-date. Not timely - events you had in the report for the future have already happened.
It's time for Spacex to begin talks with our friendly neighbors south of the border. Mexico will be more than ready to supply all the space for Gulf side launches and plenty of employees at cut rate prices.
Sue CNBC.!!!
Fuck the FFA
Ya, they're gonna end up forcing him to relocate out of country because they're embarressed by NASA's incompitence!
This seems like book three of Atlas Shrugged! How long until the best and brightest decide they no longer need the USA and make their own country.
Get read test flight 5 tommarow 5am 🎉
Bummer re the launch date ...distractions by others ... a grocery store sells more dead birds than a flight incurs ...and another way to preserve more hardware gear so it doesnt have to burn up in the atmosphere would be a good idea....Pax
Great content as usual. But it is funny watching your type battle between your support for SpaceX and space exploration, and you ideological commitment to supporting government and regulation. And since you can't see it, you can't see that government is being used as a weapon against SpaceX and Musk by his enemies.
Time to move to another country who will to be fair
It’s bidin and Boeing, Boeing is giving millions to the NASA top brass
Politics..Rule one for any CEO is stay out of Politics!!!!
Elon should never have bought Twitter it's going to sink him
Yet hess contaminated the beaches on the golf and no one is complaining
Time to move starbase to an other country. Somewhere FAA is not based. 🤷
When Elon satisfies the Military on 100T point to point Terrestrial Flights, the political interference will cease.
If I was Elon I would look to move to Mexico or somewhere and bollocks to the FAA
This is very old news
