I always felt that the rocker stage was a special and unique stage compared to the other cec stages. It was like looking back at what cec used to be in the 80s It really is heartbreaking to hear that this last rocker stage will soon to be demolished whenever that time will come
The way that they have to get rid of old animatronics is so disturbing and heartbreaking. Knowing that there's likely no way to preserve the history of these locations once they're gone, and that the company would prefer that over just auctioning off old memorabilia and attractions is really just a hopeless feeling. We'll never be able to preserve everything in this franchise's history, and that's the way they want it. I have so many fond memories of these places, and knowing that one day everything I loved about them will be gone? It's a real blow to me, and I'm sure it is for everyone else who's had fond memories at Chuck E. Chesse. And while they may not respect their own legacy, at least we can preserve these things not through the items and locations themselves, but through the memories and experiences we shared with them. And that's oddly beautiful in a way. With all that said, I'm really going to miss the old animatronics and stages, and I know that a lot of other people will as well. But there's not much we can do, and considering their insistence on destroying everything they don't need any more, the future doesn't look too bright for Chuck. But hopefully, with the effort of collectors, we can still have at least a piece of that era of Chuck E.'s legacy to enjoy. -Jack, 5/15/2022

I was Chuck E at this location for a couple of years. Was my high school job I loved being Chuck E. I had the privilege of visiting schools in the local area as Chuck E, wow that was crazy. Good times sad to see it go.
For the most part, the #'s on the Rocker stages were the store ID number. that wasn't always the case, for instance, the one at Irving had the store's actual address.
I have fond memories of the Rocker Stage at the Florence, Kentucky location... good times! Also, the numbers on the stage were usually a reference to the store number.
Nice to see that you went there, sucks they're about the same condition as when I went in April. Also the number on the house was the original store number of the location, before they were brought back by corporate, they have a different store number today

Fun fact about this location it was originally a showbiz pizza with a 3 stage in around 1987ish they took it out and put the rocker in same with White settlement location for a while corporate would take the 3 stages and put rockers , another fun fact the 3 stage bots at corporates are white settlements for when they switched to their rocker then 3 years later the first 2 stage
This was my location! I went here often when I was little, but eventually we could only go on Sundays in the morning because that’s when they quieted down the arcade. Back then, my sensory issues were a bitch. I think my dad still has pictured of my 4th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese
If nobody else has answered, i'm pretty sure each rocker stage had different addresses for each store's serial or code, i can't remember exactly but i think that is the case.
The stage must be saved, we need to start a #save all Chuck e cheese animatronics, so they can be seen for future generations, I also want to do a fan remake of showbiz
you can't save all the CEC animatronics. Why? because it's against company policy. CEC orders all stores to destroy their animatronics once their use is no longer needed, although some stores end up selling it to other people, just very limited.
I was surprised at how empty the place was. I hope CEC will keep a few shows. I would hate for them to destroy their own history by weaking shows. thanks for showing us.

@@allcapsROB lol, there's Greensboro NC, Pineville (Charlotte) NC, Raleigh NC, Talahasse FL, Laurel MD (in the remodel process) we just lost Madison TN's stage, there's Richmond VA, Roanoke VA, Billings MT, Altoona PA, Augusta GA, Huntsville AL, Columbia SC, and I'm pretty sure Charleston SC still has their stage. So that's all the stores with three stages that I can think of off the top of my head

I just now saw in another video from 3 years ago, from this couple who worked at a CEC from opening in 83 to closing in 2020 and they're just reminiscing and showing photos and stuff, and the lady talks about converting to the rocker stage and she drops the answer to your question! The house number is always the store number, she says. Her store is 478. She said they are all always the store number and it's a good way to tell where pics and videos online were taken.
Rockford wasn't a Pizza Time Theatre, although they were a relocation of the Loves Park PTT. Rockford opened during the merger period when new CEC's were branded as "Showbiz Pizza".
Great Vid also this is one of the last remaining rocker stage locations in the whole state and Ik this stage is outdated (since its been there from showbiz pizza aka Pizza time theatre) but atleast be happy that this location actually got to kept the rocker stage and I did hear a rumor that Rockford Il will get a 2.0 which is terrible but I hope it survives until 2026 atleast also what's worse this year is that some of the 3 stages are being replaced easily in a bad way, The Rocker stage is one of the golden age stages In CEC history.
you should come to Ohio we also still have a location with a munch's make believe band stage, although it's not the rocker stage or a stage that is the animatronics that have recycled rockafire explosion but it has the full animatronics bodies instead of the animatronic bodies stopping at the waist also it's in Toledo but I forgot what location in Toledo but Chuckie on the sign is pointing at guest that come to the place also good luck beating my score at one specific basketball game there

So as a kid I was terrified of the Chuck E. Cheese in my town and after seeing a tik tok video of a commercial from late 90 of CeC I went down a rabbit hole trying to find a video of what my towns stage and inside looked like after searching for so long found a video of a stage that was setup like a house which made me change my search and stumbled across this video which blew my mind in first 1 min considering Rockford IL is the hometown CeC I went to I was terrified of the costume they had and the stage just scared me to no end before they remodeled the building the whole inside was dark with only colored lights that kept it dark inside other then arcade game lights and where the stage was had it’s own room the was super dark I always remember the stage was so creepy with the windows half the time the animatronics wouldn’t work so they wouldn’t shine a light on them therefore they would be sitting there with only the eyes moving! But loved the video brought back so many memories and yes they have to destroy all arcade games and animatronics my moms best friend was the manager for +20 years and everything had to be destroyed just like you said. Oh to add in I got to go backstage where employees would dress in costume and got to see animatronics bein repaired to show me they weren’t real and was still terrified lol

Why would they force people to destroy such expensive pieces of history??? Breaks my heart. They should have salvaged all of it and sold or given it to collectors who could preserve them.
I know a guy who has a friend that works at Dept 18, and he said they’re going to destroy the stage. Now he’s been wrong multiple times so I hope this is one of the times he’s wrong.
I'm certain the answer is yes. When I briefly worked there over 20 years ago that was part of the game tech's job each shift was to clean and sanitize the games and I think those practices are always very common at restaurants and places that deal with children because younger children tend to put their mouth on surfaces so those places try to be the cleanest.

Does anybody know why corporate took this stage if they were just going to keep it in crates like are there any plans to use this somewhere?
its for a museum but because of bad financial decisions it could be deleyed along with museums are kinda boring like what donovan said

I know a guy who has a friend that works at Dept 18, and he said they’re going to destroy the stage. Now he’s been wrong multiple times so I hope this is one of the times he’s wrong.

I wonder if all CEC locations sanitize the arcade games periodically even in this era of COVID.
I'm certain the answer is yes. When I briefly worked there over 20 years ago that was part of the game tech's job each shift was to clean and sanitize the games and I think those practices are always very common at restaurants and places that deal with children because younger children tend to put their mouth on surfaces so those places try to be the cleanest.
Why did they get rid oh animatronics? This is silly!
