    Hello from Tokyo Japan!
I have heard you guys say “Trying to make one’s gymnastic movements closer to perfection is the key to improve one’s CrossFit skill rather than trying to put more weighs on the barbell.”
Then, when the time one starts losing his gymnastic movements comes, how should we all face that reality?
Say, here is the guy who does 10 MU unbroken. Would there ever be the time when he can only do 1 and finally zero as he ages?
I can handstand walk 100 feet now. If I keep following CrossFit program along with a healthy life style; 4-6 CrossFit workout a week, will I never lose the ability?
    Or,
If we all are to lose the abilities to perform gymnastic movements as we age, when, how and why?
    Thanks a lot!
    Love your shows!

Thanks for all your knowledge shares! I have a 16 year old son who is all in with CrossFit. He’s been involved since he was 10 (My husband is a coach and I’m a nutrition coach so it’s a big part of our lives), and he’s been enjoying the competitive side for the past 2 years. I’d love to hear your thoughts on teens and this sport. Thank you 💪🏼.

With a soon-to-be teen in my household, I would LOVE to hear an episode on when/how to introduce CrossFit to tweens/teens!

This conversation spurred a question for me: in terms of mental strength, what is the most valuable component to develop? In other words, putting physical ability aside and focusing instead on mental abilities, what do you think helps a regular CrossFitter the most? Examples: being a great pacer, good at managing pain, being highly strategic, etc. Which of these mental abilities is the most powerful and why? Which ones should you spend time focusing on?

Learning to be comfortable sending it and being able to recover on the fly - great advise from Boz! So basically, RPE-based (learning to maintain a higher RPE for sustained times) pacing is more valuable than following numbers blindly, and learning how to recover either quickly or at a lower intensity to maximize output. Going to implement this in my training!

Boz, know that I love and respect you, but I have to ask: when programming this year's open workouts did you think about the garage gym athlete at all? I have done the open since 2011 and this is the first year that I have not. The layouts for video submissions are prohibitive for a garage gym athlete in my opinion. They appear to be written for affiliates. If that's the plan, then ok, but even looking at something as simple as 23.2: My equipment layout does not allow for me to do 50 ft shuttle sprints starting at my pull-up bar (or anywhere near it for that matter). I'd have to run 10m+ just to get a straight line to do a single shuttle sprint and then I would have to move my camera mid transition to capture that on video.
