I remember my mum and i travelled on the freeway from Anaheim to Sea World in San Deigo on a day trip while we were there on a two week holiday in the June of 1996 from the UK. I was amazed at how wide and busy your freeways are compared to UK motorways.Don't know the number of the freeway that runs from Los Angeles to San Deigo though as i was too busy watching all the traffic from the window of our tour bus.
Nice memory you have, I can relate. My 1st visit to LA was in the late 90s as well. Since the US is such a younger country than the UK. The US developed along side the industrial revolution and automobile. Leading to the US having a much more robust network of highways and roads.
i feel ya my friend. States in the south are lucky when it comes to the roads. Since we dont have to salt them every year. we have alot less pot holes than states up north.
LA freeways just hit different

Out of interest what freeway's were you on please?
This starts briefly on I-5 to the 101 by downtown, then to the 405, with I-10 at the end. ending in Santa Monica

I Know Los Angeles Is A Beautiful City But I Would Not Go There At All
LA is so beautiful, and I've enjoyed every time I've been there. Not a place i want to live, but could not imagine never visiting there either. 😎
