    The most expensive way to play if your burning the books. Going to house ruke we'll burn Character sheets.

      Burning character sheets is legit! That what we used to do with the sheets of dead characters in my teens. Give them a proper send of by funeral pyre.

    You’re the first DM I’ve seen that actually understands the inspirations and reasons this game was made. Makes me excited to DM this.

    Hail fellow Kickstarter! Great video, and I like your perspectives on how this was intended to be loose and only a framework. A skeleton that you have to bind the flesh on to as you see fit.

    Fanastic review man! I'm not a death metal fan but you put this book on my wish list :)

    I think of homebrewing a few rules for a long campaign so the characters can grow and evolve. But maybe there are already some, because the Mörk Borg Cult (I mean the community) is so big and creative!

      Nothing I have seen yet.
      What I opted to do, have a campaign of one shots. Just play with whatever players, characters, adventures that come up, but keep the world, and the miseries that happened the same, until the inevitable doom.

    I ran this this morning. Actually very easy to run. Used the online character generator. Ran the mini zine module that came with it. Lots of fun but seems more for a 1 shot than a campaign.

    Don't burn the book people. The creators said it smells like a chemical fire and it probably is.

    Whats the difference between this and Carcosa, Shadow of the Demon Lord or Charnel Gods?

    • @Sebbaasdungeon
      @Sebbaasdungeon  4 года назад +6

      Mörk Borg is about as rules light, as you can get, while still having rules. There is really just enough Rules and Setting information, for an experienced DM to run his own version of the game. It's like a crystallization seed for your own creativity.
      And Mörk Borg has a super nice community on it's Discord server, that is always posting music, pictures, new classes etc.

      @@Sebbaasdungeon Thanks! I already knew that... so you dont know the differences or similarities. Dictionary of Mu is based of Sorcerer, which is as ruleslight as one can get (basically its just one rule).

    • @Sebbaasdungeon
      @Sebbaasdungeon  4 года назад +4

      @@rcautela7405 Yes. I forgot to write that in my last comment, but I don't know Carcosa or Charnel Gods at all, and have not played Shadow of the Demon lord. So I can't really help you with the differences to Mörk Borg.

    The bad thing about MB is thats ODnD.

    • @Sebbaasdungeon
      @Sebbaasdungeon  4 года назад +3

      Or a good thing, if you like ODnD. I personally like the elegant simplicity of it.

    • @rcautela7405
      @rcautela7405 4 года назад +1

      @@Sebbaasdungeon there are better alts, IMOHO. DnD plays fast and loose with the buyer. Its like a bait n switch in its incompleteness Also, DnD feels very artificial, in its vanilla version. Its always reminding you yr in a game. Very frustrating.

    • @WittyDroog
      @WittyDroog 4 года назад

      @@rcautela7405 Honestly the rules are so light it is the ghost of D&D, it barely feels like the game beyond the core mechanic. If you really needed a specific or more simulationist ruleset it would be almost nothing to transfer the setting wholesale

    • @Okamooki
      @Okamooki 4 года назад

      Yeah, except it strips out most of the bullshit that makes odnd bad. (looking at you race as class)

    • @18ps3anos
      @18ps3anos 3 года назад

      @@Okamooki race as class is from B/X, not ODnD. And that doesn't really make the game bad anyway...
