I’m certain I come from the hovels and trenches since my Spanish ancestors were miners from Jalisco all the way up to Nueva Mèxico. Surname Armijo.

Anyone from the Los Altos region, Xalostotitlan? I’m just getting into genealogy. My paternal line is Cornejo Riojano from the 1600s.

My paternal grandparents and my mom’s dad are from the Altos region. I believe I have Cornejo in my family tree as well. Some of my ancestors were from Jalos.

My uncle sent me the whole collection from Mexico. He bought it from a large book store in Guadalajara & sent it to me via UPS. I paid about $350 with shipping cost included. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the book store. I think that most of us with European ancestry and with roots from Los Altos are somehow related. My mom turned out to be my dad’s 7th cousin, and they are related through more than 30 ways. And my paternal uncle found out on his wedding day that he was marrying his 3rd cousin, lol. Do you have your tree online?
