We should have a daily race for every class and one for cars that arnt in a class like the mp4/4 or super formula

Did one race in race C. 50 minutes. Finished 2nd. Big commitment as you said. And then you get freaking 95k credits. What a joke. Wont do again.
I won it two times, the first one was my first win in sport. Got lucky with pit stops on both of them.
The grid size is very closely related to performance, and with GT7 already being on the edge of what the PS5 can handle sometimes (especially if play with Ray Tracing), I would not love being in a 20-30 grid lobby with dynamic weather on the Nordscheife. The lag would be insane. I don't think PD hate the idea of larger grids, but a studio likes PD - owned by Sony - very much develop with performance in mind and I don't think such large grids will hold up performance wise in online lobbies in GT7 at the moment. Also, I agree with having a Daily Race D and E, but you would still have the same problem with people dropping out because of a bad start and then lauching a new daily race instead. So I don't see that solving the dropout problem. To retain cars in open lobbies you would have to incentivize staying for the entire race - for example by offering a massive Credits bonus (I'm talking 500,000+ for the endurance races, to make it really worth it).
How about the performance / framerate options? Sorry for the PS4 people, in this scale you're mostly killed by that.

GT Sport had a 30 car mission on the PS4 so GT7 on a PS5 should be able to handle at least a 100 car grid

Especially for VR2 ,not all like to see the on screen HuB floating around, ingame when playing after all you want that realy life experience...
i do endurance races in psvr2 the key thing to do is manage your own race box when you think its time to box and if someone gaps you hes faster i do not care about gaps i can see my own laptimes with hud on if i look at the sector splits and fuel and tires is also manageable i do 30 minute races with a community and we are still looking for more people

Managing your own race is fine, but the problem Kireth is referring to is more about pitting and coming back out in traffic when you clearly have more pace than those in front.
I would even be happy with a simplified HUD that showed the split to the car in front and to the car behind

I play full psvr2, i agree about the lack of informations.....but i ve been probably used to it ,now i run races just to drive my position don 't matter i try m'y best only
But yes we need more information about what' s going on and i would like too to see others psvr2 players ' head Moving as they look around while driving this could add such realism i don ' t understand why it s not in thé game yet 😢

I enjoyed the Honda at the new track. It was fun I got pole outbreaked myself into T1 lol last, then got P4 I was happy and 2 tenths off the faster lap.
Weather and time of day should be random for every time slot.
If polyphony can’t bring out consistent updates with new tracks and cars every few months, what hope do we have for another daily race every week 🤷♂️
We don’t need monthly new tracks, just races like this , under use of good combos has been the issue
I was running this one couple days ago against sophy and it was fun trying to pass clean at the nordschleiffe ….. I only race in psvr2 …. I look at the map when I’m in the pits to see where others are at beyond that just haul ass and watch weather …. I rather have immersion. Can’t complain it’s fun but it’s not my job

I’ve been wanting a daily race D for endurance and tuning soo bad. You know how many tuning lobbies are going on 24hrs a day around the clock
I cannot live without racing on my psvr2. Best thing I've bought and keeps me playing gt7. Yeah I can't see the splits or driver order online, but the state of the daily races, I rarely play online...

I liked last week c race. Was what we need more of. More car and track variety. Even though its slow as fawk im enjoying the vw bus battle. Littke rough sure but again something new and unique. Im tired of gr4 gr3 at the same old tracks
It still hasnt changed the number of people quiting with just the one slot each hour. There needs to be more of a punishment for not finishing the race. As a VR user i do agree we should have the ability to toggle the split overlay.
Although allowing for connection maybe. I've had before on a race the door has rung for example. Do I ignore to save SR, or answer to save a neighbour in need? Maybe for dropping out, they should take into account varies factors such as frequency, time into a race, position at time of drop out, or time after crash/penalty at drop out etc. Then when relative limit is reach, penalties, or even credit fines. If for example, someone drops out between 1 and 10 seconds after a crash, they get a minor. If they keep doing doing, after 5 they get massive DR/SR cut, and a fine of half the middle placed winnings. If they started tracking when users drop put, they would be able to see a pattern. If for example the ping rate is very low at drop out, can't really be helped. If they however keep dropping out due to connection, then maybe limit the races they can enter unless ping rate is back up. Should be relatively straightforward to track at first

I agree with you on the vr issues. Not having the timer splits is a major issue and I can't understand why they don't have it. I can't play on the TV it doesn't feel right so I feel like I'm at a slight disadvantage. Even in normal daily race c weeks. 😬
Great idea they definitely need additional races that suits everyone timings to participate and have a good variety for different tastes , I liked the previous daily C as well, I get it it’s not for everyone but if they add more daily races everyone would be happy. Regarding VR I bought it and said wow this is nice but couldn’t seriously race with it because of the lack of timings and many other primary info you need , apart from that and despite how hard they tried to make the psvr2 comfortable you can’t wear it for more then 1 hour I get tired and most of the time switch back to screen. it looks good and the wow factor is there but I think it’s not that practical at this time. And I want to add something regarding another additional issues I experience with psvr2 while it looses tracking even during a race and trust me I make sure the room is really lit. another issue whenever I drive Hondas specifically the touring ek civic and the amuse s2000 at a certain point of time the steering wheel on the screen sort of lags , that issue drove me crazy and I’m not sure if I’m the only one experiencing it if you can @kireth would please try these cars with psvr2 and see if you experience the same issues, if you do have same issues please make video about it so the problem will be highlighted thx.
If they split their player base even more by adding more races, AI will be required. Also, give us more cars on track.

I don't think SimGrid started their Seasons races on console for ACC to compete with GT7. They did it so that the console playing ACC community had somewhere to do ranked daily races, seeing as it is nearly always PC that gets that type of feature and support and console gets left in the lurch.
@@dazonyt8094 I’d say a mixture of both, they are a business at the end of the day. But it is very good to see a game 7-8 years old is still listening to their users even if the online activity was practically dead or mainly private communities
I’ve had the vr since launch and I 100% agree we are lacking the information that you get on a flat screen. Surely adding this info in the HUD would be better than it being on the screen cluttering the view. I don’t race many daily’s but the league I’m in I can ask what the gaps are etc. or even an acc style coms telling you the gaps and where drivers are around you.
You are right! An hour long race is too long for a casual player. How can I both practice and race in my limited time? As you observe, I started yesterday at P15, without a qualification time. I ended in P8 as everyone else quit! As you suggest, we need a fourth race. (And the PSVR2 updates that you mentioned.)
call me crazy but i’d love a daily race with a “ world “ region. Id love to do a daily race with my european friends.
top split A+ players need this for ranking up, north american servers are too dry to grind DR.

Fully agree with this, especially as a not good driver yet in sport mode, a 50 min race in harsh weather conditions isn’t suitable to me or other lower level players to really improve in sport mode. I also think if they added another daily race then we’d start to see more interesting track/car/weather(tuning??) races, just more variety. I feel like as I watch my fav youtubers yall are usually racing the same 4/5 track/combos on shuffle
Due to only being 3 races every week, and me pretty much just driving GT4 cars, there are weeks where there is no GT4 race at all, or bad ones. A 4th race would probably solve at least a few of those weeks. There are months where I literally don't play GT7 because there's just a string of boring races.
Until the penalty system works, racing will always be SHIT on gt7

You are so right mate! It’s just sad that the game can be so much better but they don’t put the effort in! We need a long race like this every week! And not once every two months! For me makes no sense doing some 5 laps daily race when people can go do lobby racing for that

Never a truer word said. On an other point. PD gotta stop the pen system if you hit a wall and you are slowed down during the race. Please PD add the pens on at the end
I feel like Daily Race D would split the playerbase a bit thin across all the races. Driver swaps in particular are interesting, but I worry about how DR gain/loss, car and team selection would be implemented. If they can choose whoever, going up against an all-star team for upwards of an hour seems very intimidating. Something to sit down and think about thoroughly...
The format PD has selected has completely outgrown what Race C should be used for though. Asking 2-3x more time commitment from regulars with no additional incentives is a huge ask.
I think you're spot on with having a daily race d for endurance. Also, like you were saying people were quitting earlier today even kie himself cause he messed up his strategy. Rory on the other hand pushed through and had a decent finish that race.

I agree. I do wish that they would do more qualifying for races, especially C, and put less preference on those who can grind out every last thousandth of a second and be set all week.
Finished my 2 races with 5 and 6 cars still online. That made me sad.
One of the reasons they keep it at a 16 car grid is because of the PS4 players are mixed with the PS5 players. The power of the system of the PS4 will not perform well with more cars in the grid. Until Sony makes game exclusively for the PS5 you will not reap the full benefit of the system.

I won't participate in race C, 6 laps in the rain? Within one lap I will be driving around by myself for the next five laps. That is not fun. I race for fun, not to get triggered by these conditions. I have over 3500 Sport mode races, and I refuse to waste my time with this.
Not having those info in PSVR2 is really a problem!!
With ACC and Simgrid I don't understand why online racers at bothering with GT7.
this endurance race E could use some other tracks too like Le Mans, or Daytona
I don't ever quit races, you never know what could happen. I've been in a race that so many people quit I finished like p6 or p4 from like 10.
I finally raced this last night. 50 minutes of pain😂😂 out of 16 cars only 5 of us were left. Surprisingly enough I finished 5th but right behind 3rd and 4th, so yeah, great race but it was rough😂😂
You spin off and make a mistake, you can still have a decent drive and finish if you complete.
Accidentally started on intermediate tires when rain didn’t even start until mid lap 2, still finished 8th
I do really enjoy the daily race c this week, and I agree with all your comments and suggestions. I use the psvr2 headset, and miss the passion information. However I drive much faster with the VR. It would be great if the ps5 could use multiple screens. I am surprised someone hasn’t build and expansion accessory.

@@Kireth 🫡, I personally believe in the GT big picture, there should’ve been a GT sport 2 and GT7 could’ve stuck to the grass roots experience of large car selection, rookie to professional career mode, open chat lobbies etc. But I guess it’s easier said than done I suppose
Daily C was looking good starting every half hour. Given that I jump in and race maybe an hour or two, there’s little chance of me doing daily C.

PSVR has been abandoned. I would like a spotter, but would settle for being able to toggle information on and off.
@@DrewShafer66 yea I can see that but even on ACC u have the race logic screen where u can atleast see splits to car in front/behind. And the spotter telling you where ur gaining/losing time to car in front/behind
PD is just being careless on the dailies as always, players who are dedicated to races or casual players makes a difference, something like "Master Daily Races", another 3 dailies focus on longer races like this 6 laps of VLN is great and leave more meme races to the casual players

I like this race i love driving this track but i hav'nt encountered any rain yet.i think you are right it should be every hour for the reasons you hilighted.
Less information makes it more realistic for me. You need to be more aware of what is going on instead of looking at a timetable. Like real races would be.

Can anyone think of any reason why there are not 4 or 5 daily races?
The physics update has put me off to an extent. Im an avid player with a 1000 hours + on GT7, but i have halfed my time a week due to awful weekly races.
Once you get used to driving very differently, the physics do feel a lot better.. The physics put me off pretty hard at first as well. Just felt super weird.
Weirdly enough, this is the first time I've actually managed to keep a GT3 car on the road for a full lap of any track. The Ferrari 458 Gr3 specifically. When the rear slips a bit, it doesn't just instantly turn to ice the way it did with the previous version physics. I think that part is an improvement at least.

I’m in Oceania, 4th race we,d have no numbers for it, ie people in race c and e would be diluted, we learn that this race is on the hour, that’s a good idea just do the weekly tt or a q lap if u have to wait. Could be just a 5 lapped though as my race I did went to 8.02pm so couldn’t do another one on the hr. But I’m a fan of longer races,,!!!!

I agree having more races, but forVR2 I normally take all displays of to get that real life experience, Wouldn't want to see on screen displays while in vr2 but maybe have your pit crew talk to you, ie ,where you on the track, letting you know your fuel consumption and tyer wear, and what the leaders are using, this way you know whats happening. Rather than having all the displays on Vr2, for fans that want real life experience.

I did race c this morning but first 1.5 hours of practice, too long ! People have lives. Never felt the new physics b/c car felt stable. Don't ask how race went (punted) driving around in the rain alone for 6 laps is zero fun. Oh, started on pole BTW. To fix this you minus 2 laps. BTW I love Nordschleife.

Its too long, not enjoyeble 6 laps. I will do it anyway, because its easy to gain DR. A lot of people quit. At the end of the race you have 7 - 8 players.

@Kireth Let's face it, 13 miles and 176 turns means a long race even at two laps. I can see six laps for a cup race, most of us just want to race an hour or two a day.
