Wire Bending Lesson Lingual Arch #1
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 окт 2024
- This Ortho lab video demonstrates how to bend a Lingual Arch. Otherwise known in the Ortho world as (Arch Length Maintainer, Mandibular Holding Arch, and Bilateral Space Maintainer to name a few.) This appliance is more for an intermediate to advanced wire bender. It requires a lot of Patience and Practice to become efficient. If you are having a problem making everything symmetrical or what I like to refer as "Balanced" Start over and try again.
In this video I refer to a "step down bend" it is not necessary but, it helps make bending loops easier by getting away from teeth and tissue. It was also developed to allow an Oral Surgeon to extract any Bicuspid tooth without having to remove appliance and reorder another appliance if necessary.
I hope this video helps and check out the rest of my Ortho Lab videos and as Always Thanks for watching LIKE, SHARE, COMMENT and be sure to SUBSCRIBE

I do more of a "droop down" than a step down, LOL!! I think I would really like to have those loop forming pliers and that arch forming gadget--all I use is BB & 3prg. Did you call it a Young plier?
Laurie Gayle.. Hi Gayle. the arch former was hand made by a tool and die craftsman. it's truly one of a kind. I would be lost without it.
My pliers are called "Young Loop Forming" I use them on Every appliance. I bought them from Dentaurum. They have the Best quality pliers. They are like driving a Porsche... A little pricey but worth every penny. #012-074-00. Thank you watching and I hope you have a Very Profitable 2017😉
Buenos dias, en el minuto 6 del video veo que aplicas un producto para fijar la barra al modelo de yeso antes de sodar, quisiera saber que producto utilizas y su nombre comercial. te agradezco la información.
Armando Dossmann Se llama Fill-it. Por American Dental Supply .. cola de trabajo increíble con activador
Szara Dental Lab muchas gracias por la información!
Hello, I was curious what was the name of this cylinder device for bending wire that you used? And where can I buy it? Thank you in advanced!
Lara Ivanova It's called an archive former. the one I use is one of a kind. you can buy a similar one at Great Lakes Orthodontics. Makes bending appliances much more easier. Thanks for watching
Steve Szara thank you for a quick response. Awaiting for your new videos!
hey mine just came off and i’m really worried rn can someone help me because there’s nothing i’ve found that shows how to fix it
You have to have it cemented back into place. Call your Dr
Hi Steve, what wire size do you use for lingual loop retainer please?

Thank you
Is there any way that I can get in touch with you I have a specific case that I need some guidance on. I'm actually a patient and my dentist won't make the appliance that I know can be made I've been experimenting at home and I really could use a little help
Chris as much as I would like to help you anything I tell you would be illegal because I'm not a licensed practitioner. I highly suggest you take your idea and run it by another Dr.
They should have your best interest at heart
@@SzaraDentalLab I fully understand the dentist that I you said that he wants to do a all on four and pull the good teeth that I have left I don't like that idea I just want to know if an appliance could be made and put over teeth that have been prepped for a bridge. I guess what I'm looking for is a bridge / partial hybrid and I know that it could be made what are your thoughts
@@christopherevers4294 post pictures in Facebook dental crown and bridge groups. You'll have some really good techs give you really good advice. Remember we've seen everything. There might be a real good reason your Dr. wants to do a 4 in 1. Esthetically I've seen some really great results with that procedure
@@SzaraDentalLab thank you for the advice. I just don't want to lose the good teeth and lose more bone structure number one. Number two I just don't have enough money. But thank you again for the response I do appreciate it and I like your videos
hello. could you tell me what material (blue on the video) you use for fixation of the wire during adapting on the model ? thanks for this wonderful video. also - on which email I can ask you something more about your work ? thanks in advanced
