Y'all need to learn about the phrases "prospect" and "potential".. Yes bobby Witt jr mashed against sub par competition in high school and was often overmatched against the best in the nation. He was #1 based off of his athletic potential. it came down to seeing 85mph in high school, as opposed to seeing 95 in the perfect game circuit. the scouts new once he caught up, his athletic potential combined with how much physical growth they projected him to have... Bobby was #1 in the nation and was really still a late bloomer as a man...which is remarkable...the scouts knew tho.
