The Egyptians were seeing that their BMP 1’s were being knocked out easily by 50cal fire and also the main gun on the vehicle was useless against Israeli tanks and wasnt optimal for fighting infantry
BMP2 was already in service in Afghanistan, BMD was also designed with the same gun and turret mechanisms as the BMD 3 which had the same turret as the BMP2 that was already in mass production before the Chechen wars
Btw There is a new Version of Squad maps. When in the old Website you can See the Link somewhere on the top. It is basically squadlanes combined with squadmaps. Also it Shows Main protection zones.

This had to be one of THE MOST painful rounds of squad I've ever watched... just the amount of armor soloing ESPECIALLY on the turks who have little to no armor at all or good weapons on them. Its just so painful to see these strategies repeated and nobody learns that if people go solo to hunt down armor and infantry, it wont end good at all. The amount of ambushes, counters, and no progress that was made is so hard to watch. If its one thing I learned from moidawg, its to always stick with your squad and support infantry. Even if your staying together in an armor group, its better then just going one by one into a completely hostile zone and getting attacked by rpg's, mines, vehicles, grenades...its a horrible play. The worst and sad part to see of all was the whole infantry wipe from the turks after the arty struck...I felt bad cause they were all working together, yet so crowded and condensed. The one thing I wish squad would do more to focus on is advising armor to stick with infantry and support them. It was absolutely fantastic to see the amount of teamwork when the ICO first came out, on top of that, its so much more easier to do this and it was shown before ICO on Karmakuts Dynamic Direction mod. Everyone worked together, I believe it was because everyone in that mod wanted to work together and actually strived for that...and it worked so much better, rounds lasted an hour+, it was fantastic. That's what I miss.

For instance, since there is lack of HAT kits and only LAT's, it forces players to work with armor more. Infantry can protect the armor from enemy AT, and infantry would also have to disable vehicles for turkish armor to get the advantage. I.e. you attack an abrams, LATs disable the tracks, armor rolls up from behind or flank to hit the tank from the side or the ass. Behind the tank is the best spot to both disable the engine, as well as attack the tank from since its turret has to be pointed at an upward angle. Against stronger assets like China, and British, you would have to be more focused on tow firebases to take them out as well as working with armor. Tows strike first, armor comes in second.

Ifvs and apcs should stick to inf but in tanks it is dumb and suicidal. Also the rear is not the best place to hit a tank in squad. Ammo rack is the best place and there are no tanks in game where the ammo rack can be hit from the rear. Side shots always give you the most options for mobility kills and ammo rack shots. Playing close to inf in a tracked vic makes it super easy to get tracked and hit with an air strike or flanked by armor. In tanks you want to stay hidden as long as possible, preferably right up until you fire the first shot on the enemy tank.
I barely ever see the turkish faction win any games. Their armor is doodoo and the fact that they lack heavy AT just makes them easy prey for any faction with actual armor. Most of the time the opposition armor just farms kills like there is no tomorrow and the game ends 150-0 in tickets. The turksih faction def needs buffs or it needs to face only factions without proper armor aswell
It is really sad to see that Squad Devs could not design the Turkish Army properly. There are thousands of Turks playing it as well and I am sure they got feedbacks about it. Defense Industry is booming in Turkey right now and there are lots of superior vehicles that Turkish Army is using other than those craps they put in the game.
I realy wonder how armor gameplay would be like in Squad if the acutally give the tank realistic damage system like in GHPC or War thunder and realistic fire controll systems and thermals Id imagine tanks being extremly powerful if used right but at the same time getting oneshoted with one mistake

These modules have accurate locations (ammo in sponsons), this allows rare chances for the equivalent of LAT to seriously maim a tank on most occasions. Crew members are restricted to vision blocks/periscopes and are virtually deaf inside. This limited situational awareness often requires close infantry co-operation.

ACV-25 is actually an IFV. irl that is. and it kinda is a M113 with a cannon on top. though not entirely its a private venture design the "AIFV", that was based on the M113, but actually build from the ground up to be an IFV design.
They should give TLF Karaok ATGM as HAT because they are very lacking against armor. Its basically an NLAW analogue. Its not in mass production yet but TLF needs some sort of buff to anti armor capabilities.

Vehicle turret ingame are too good. It feels like your mouse is your turret, capable of making impossible turn in fraction of seconds. They should make it like turret is seperate object that tries to follow the mouse movement with slower rate.
TLF is severely handicapped without a HAT kit. Their vehicles do not compensate for the lack of good AT kits. I think they might need discounted ATGM or increase the amount to 2 per FOB

No chechen, clearly Afgan. See, BMP-2 with almost +90 degrees of gun traverse made just because of mountains of Afganistan. All those BMD with 30mm gun have firing modules inherited by some degree from BMP-2 there is why the also have much traverse up. One thing I think that's really holding Squad back is the lack of kit and weapon customization. I know a lot of people who don't play it anymore or wont give it a try for that reason alone, sure there are mods but the vanilla experience could be vastly improved with basic loadout customization

I feel like that's a decent balancing factor making up for the lack of thermal imaging... Vehicles are good, but extremely vulnerable if used wrong.

One thing I think that's really holding Squad back is the lack of kit and weapon customization. I know a lot of people who don't play it anymore or wont give it a try for that reason alone, sure there are mods but the vanilla experience could be vastly improved with basic loadout customization
