Hi there! Big Springsteen fan here - and also I have a talent for wanna be a guitar player...😁 I always sing along when I play. It makes it much easier to keep the right tempo. And, I have found that - peculiar as it sounds, if I put my lower jaw out, like You know who - I can carry the hardest vocals much, much easier! Have I just revealed one of Bruce's best kept secrets? 😇
Hey Tony, thanks for the lesson. I'm just a beginner and am trying to learn. Love Bruce's acoustic work. I think this setup is great so that we can see chord changes clearly. It would be nice if you could talk a bit more about the progressions at times also mention strumming when there is a change in the pattern or if the chord changes half bar, etc. Also, I would love to see you do a lesson on one of his alternate tuning songs like Two Hearts, from Ties that Bind, at his house.
Hey Robert, I will definitely try. I've been wanting to learn that version since it's so beautiful. In the meantime, it's definitely a harmonica in the key of F and he starts with 7 blow, then 7 draw. The version that I do in my video is a harmonica in the key of G. Cheers!
I'm originally from Montreal but now living in the Ottawa Valley on the Ottawa River. I visited south Jersey often when I was a kid while my Dad went to Atlantic City. Maybe that's what rubbed off on me? Lol. Been to Freehold and Asbury Park a few times. Such a beautiful area. How about you?
Great stuff bro
Good stuff Tony! Nice guitar. Keep it going.
I enjoy the way you teach. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Thank you Todd! Appreciate the feedback
Happy New Year Tony! Glad to see that you are posting new Springsteen song lessons. I appreciate and look forward to them. Thanks!
Thank you so much and Happy New Year! All the best.
Great lesson.
Thank you!

Ahh yes that's a good tip! Much easier when standing up too!

Thanks for your feedback! I’ll check that version out for sure. Cheers!
You're a really good singer .. Springsteen is really tough to cover .. deceptively high vocals.
ps: thanks for the lessons :)
Thank you!
Any chance you could do some kind of tab on how he plays the harmonica in his solo performance that you used for the thumbnail?

I may have said "rattle steak" speedway a couple of times!
where are you from?? I mean living now?? You're such a Springsteen fan - could you possibly be from south Jersey??

Is this how it’s played on the record? Including the strumming for the chorus?
Hi Lucas, yes these are the exact chords from the Darkness on the edge of town record.
