I feel you! I deal with rosacea flares and something that really worked for my skin this year is adding occlusives like you mentioned over my moisturizer. Something I recommend that has worked for me as well is only using fragrance free skincare, it can cause hypersensitivity and irritation. Love your content!

Hi Dacey! I too started developing dermatitis around my mouth when the pandemic started. The cause obviously was from wearing cotton masks. I actually went to a dermatologist for the first time and they prescribed me to two diff ointments (aquaphor wasn’t helping). They’re called fluocinolone and mupirocin. Tiniest amount of each mixed with my finger tips and applied on the affected area and immediately saw results. Dermatitis went away. When I do have any flare ups (which is rare), I will apply these ointments and it’s gone. I also like to use the Cerave healing ointment around my mouth to keep moisture and I only wear silk mask now. Idk if you’re against prescribed medications for your skin but I had tried everything and nothing really helped. Just wanted to say I completely understand the journey if skin issues and I hope you find a solution!! Your skin still looks beautiful!
Yes yes to hair edition! Thank you for the skincare recs, I wanted to ask the people in the comments if they have any ideas for tretinoin users that aren't aquaphor/vaseline or cicaplast. All made me break out with whiteheads galore so I'm struggling to find an alternative especially for the winter.

I haven't had or noticed any issues with that! I actually *think* at one point it was from a specific fabric of a face covering mask but I'm not sure. Super annoying
this was great! I also added this Foreo Luna mini 3 brush to my skin cleansing and it changed my life! Absolutely worthy investment! Also use Cerave cleanser and it keeps my skin calm and clean. Love it
I actually get even more dry skin when I don't exfoliate! When I met Kate Somerville - she told me herself that she exfoliates every single day and that it's fine for me exfoliate every day because of my skin type!
Love the video! I love and use lots of the same. Just a tip the pond’s cold cream is so great to remove makeup and then follow with cerave cleanser. I switched to ponds cold cream in 2021 and saved a few dollars instead of buying other makeup removers like Clinique and pharmacy. I also love the ponds moisturizer 😌
Happy New Year. This Fall, you mentioned the Tower 28 spray. I’ve purchased this and it’s helped my eczema. Have you tried Blume Meltdown oil, this helped the maskne on my chin?
PS I don't know what dermatitis is but I used one of those razors and got red chapped skin on the corners of my mouth... so I figured I overdid it and took off a layer of skin. Maybe this will help
Hi Dacey, do you have sebderm? I do and tried various fermented toners including the SKII but they all aggravated my sebderm. Do fermented ingredients agree with your skin?
You should try La Roshe Posay balm to apply after moisturizer..it helps with flare ups, dermatitis and irritation. I just used it for few days when I had bad irritation and it was gone..It is good gor skin barrier...

I get dermatitis on my chin on and off too! I figured out after a few yrs it happens when I use very scented body wash and my loofa would spread it on my chin while washing my neck and I wouldn't notice and then forgot to thoroughly wash it off my chin bc I already cleansed my face. Hope u can figure out what is irritating you! Love your videos and recs!

All 3 are generous sharers of their knowledge/experience--each with unique specialties. All 3, over the years, have kept me from making skin mistakes and also wasting $$ here and there. The last gal I mentioned, Penny, may look like a stereotypical W Coast blonde (like I do, so I can say that 🤗) but trust me, she's a bulldog when it comes to researching and sharing the latest advances in reducing hyperpigmentation, improving skin health, collagen deterioration,fine lines, etc.with her clients, and with those of us watching her on YT or in her Facebook group.

I learned to stay away from products with fragrance. It was definitely a game changer for my face- hadn't had any flare-up 🙂

No! Only at night! If I was using the balm stick during the day, yes but only on small areas of my face if I needed it

Vanicream moisturizing ointment did wonders for my son’s eczema. The amount of lotions and creams people who suffer from eczema is crazy.
