Hi Todd, glad this helped! I have a more detailed video showing my process and how I set up my board for my uses. You can check this out here: ruclips.net/video/c0gPVfnZSMg/видео.html
Hello..thanks so much for your video. But i am a little confused. If i understand you correctly, you set up two matrixs, one for your main PA and the other for recording so that you can do the eq part on matixs?? If so, the first matix is pre fader and the second one is post fader? Thanks in advance..
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification about this. The only signals that can be routed to a matrix are from mixbuses or the Mono / LR bus. You can route anything to a mixbus to be post fade, or prefade, or you can mix and match (i.e. some channels can be prefade and some channels can be postfade). Mono and LR bus are always postfade. From the mixbus, you can also send to your matrix as prefade or postfade. So when I suggest sending everything to a mixbus, I almost always want to send it postfader from a mixbus that is also fed post-fade from the individual channels. This just allows you to mix 1 time, and it affects anything you are sending audio to. This does take a while to get set up, and you will need to be able to solo each feed to listen and possibly make changes using sends on fader to that mixbus). I still adjust things every week based on how loud it is in my room and which drummers are playing as the acoustic volume of the drums make up a TON of my live room, so I constantly have to adjust how loud they are on my recording mixbuses.
Correct, you can go to your Routing screen and select any mixbus, matrix, mono, main L/R, or Auxilary to be sent to any of the outputs on the back of the console (or on your digital snake if you are using one). I choose to send my Main L/R to my Matrixes so I have independent control of how much I am sending to my Subs on Matrix 2, and my mains on Matrix 1 (we mix in Mono in our main room).
The room is more sound reinforcement mix and the broadcast is more of a recording mix. On my analog board I use an AUX as a broadcast feed and that way I can add or subtract what I need from the house mix to get the levels I want. I am looking to replace my board with an X32 so all of this is new to me. My guess is that I can use the BUS sends the same way I do the AUX sends on my current setup. Oh wait I see another video, maybe it's there.
Yes. That is exactly how you do it. Just set all your channels to feed your mixbus as post fade. Mix your room. Then solo that mixbus and adjust “sends on fader” to match what you want to hear in your mix. Then as you mix your room for dynamics you are mixing your broadcast too!
Hello Great video , that is the same way my table is set I thought is the best one. I do need your help for some reason my computer (pc) doesn't see the x32 when connected with USB on the card. firmware was updated yet when you install the x USB from Behringer page it kept asking you to disconnect the device and reconnect it without recognizing the mixer audio input. If you can help on this I will appreciate it a lot.
I have only used my macbook to connect to the X32, which has its own driver that is compatible. I do know you need to install a driver for PC to work. Have you reached out to Music Tribe (Behringer's user community)? community.musictribe.com/
You will just have to watch your levels on your camera (most higher end cameras have a meter that show you how much volume you are bringing in). There is no real way to tell from the X32 if your camera is getting too much volume. You could add a compressor with a really high ratio to act as a volume limiter, but you still need to know what the camera is getting.
You must use bus sends. Whatever mixbus you want you hear in the matrix, select that mixbux, tab over to sends, increase the levels with the rotary knob on whatever matrix you want!
you supposed to teach ho to send first and then another video on EQ stuff one thing at a time, because too much information gets people confused thanks bro.
Really appreciate this - we have the x32 and will launch into broadcast mode soon...thank you

Based on this setup. I don’t have to route output 15 & 16 to main L and R, I can route it to a matrix?

@@chriscampbellmusic Thank you
how do I prevent distortion of the audio going to the my camera from the x32?

hi... how do i get the crowd mics to go only to my record mix (matrix)?
You can't send a direct input straight to a matrix. You have to assign those inputs to a mixbus and then assign that mixbus to your matrix.
what about from vmix to Canon xa15 to live streaming
How do I send to matrix??
You must use bus sends. Whatever mixbus you want you hear in the matrix, select that mixbux, tab over to sends, increase the levels with the rotary knob on whatever matrix you want!

You should edit out the first minute and 15 seconds.
