The reason why the flip knife blade sticks out is because it’s an exact recreation of the knife from the game and the blade in game is longer than the handle.
Yeah it may look goofy irl but I really like that knify stuck with the in-game scale of the blade. Shows they're going for accuracy

Benchmade bedlam is the real version of a flip knife. The thing is that in the game the blade is much bigger than the handle, so that’s why you got it like this. In real life it’s a normal knife that you can carry every day

The IRL Flip knife is a discontinued knife called the Benchmade Bedlam, if you want a real fishing/hunting version of the Gut Knife look up a Buck Alpha Hunter w/ Guthook. Closest you can get to an Ursus in today's knife Market is the Gerber Strongarm, it just doesn't have the serrated edge and Tanto blade tip.
