I lost a bunch of friends once my spouse & I purchased a home. We threw a house warming and invited friends who said they’d come but they didn’t show. Nor did they say why. Communication decreased tremendously after that. I don’t lose sleep AT ALL b/c of it. All the right people are still present in our lives.

As you said they are wiring us to be visually inclined/focused, which is basically an inversion of the "karate kid"/ kung fu blindfold training method, that trains the mind to be Sharp. It's also said in Gurdjeiff's teachings, that one cannot develop emotional awareness,before it has developed an intelligence, and one cannot keep the 'work' in mind if attention isn't based all 3. Pretty much they tweak our dopamine feedback loops with pyschoemotional stimuli via technology so they We Do Not Develop an Intelligence. Food for Thought.
