Thank you! Great work on the photography and research, as ever! I enjoyed the nostalgia it aroused. My only criticism was the quietness of your narration this time around. Also, the reversing birds at 04:28 made me chuckle!
Hi there! Thanks a lot for your comment, I really appreciate it 😊 I just noticed that reversing bird! I don't know how I missed that during my last edit haha! And yes I was trying out a different mic but I'm going to go back to my original one :)
Great to get some local knowledge and history. My ancestors originated from the area and as I live so very far away now I appreciate your videos and commentary. Thanks
That was detailed and I found that interesting. I didn't know that Norwich could boast a bigger city wall than London in its day. I was walking like a tourist around the city this week. Showing my other half (non Norfolk) why I love Norwich as much as I do.
Really enjoyed this as i live near Norwich.. im familiar with many of the areas you filmed... The volume of the video is very low though? dont know if its just me.
Yes I can! TheHistorySquad has some amazing videos on he Hundred Years War. Especially from an archers perspective. I highly recommend checking out his channel.

Great video Alex. It’s a pity we lost so much of the walls but at least you’ve recorded what’s left for everyone to see
Thank you, I appreciate that 😊 and yes it is a shame. I'd have loved Norwich to still have at least one gatehouse!

My pleasure! And yes I am a local so I visit these ruins very often.
My grandad hated Norwich but I loved it so beautiful
Haha how could someone hate Norwich??? It's gorgeous and steeped in history!
Thanks for the video! Great editing and description.
Thank you very much 😊
Great video Alex - love the old Norwich city walls - visit them often - especially the Carrow Hill section - beautiful there - like a lost world 👌🏻
Yep. I just wish we had our gatehouses still. Bloody 1700s ruining everything as usual.
@@AlexTheHistoryGuy - yes I agree such a shame

Glad you enjoyed! It's very easy to be so proud of Norwich's rich history and heritage when you are a local. Such an easy city to fall in love with!

Yes I was trying out a new mic but I'll be going back to my original one, but thanks a lot I really appreciate that 😊😊
Could you recommend or perhaps create some content on the Hundred Years War?

we learnt that the bricks used in places were from previous roman buildings
A few were, yes!
was really looking forward to watching this, but, although the music is loud, the commentary is barely audible.
I am currently in the works of remaking some of my older videos now that I have more professional equipment so stay tuned :)
