Hi from the UK , I have been watching your videos for quite a while now and am troubled by the poor Gambian street traders being persecuted and their goods being seized and their wooden stalls being smashed by sledge hammers. Tuk Tuk drivers being harassed Motorcycles being sized. Operation clear the roads is very oppressive on a people who have very little to live on and I wonder what happpens to their goods after they are taken away, are they sold and the money kept by the people who take them ? It seems very draconian to a casual observer like me..
@abiekah7868 To improve the poverty level of the Gambian people is the way to 'Clean The Country' you don't just expect an impoverished people to change everything they know without giving them a way to alleviate their already difficult existence. A hard hand with no alternative is not the way to get a population to be content.
@hojagaye3551 You can't compare the UK with gambia , the UK is a developed country with a stable infrastructure and a social welfare system for the people who are poor so you don't see the masses putting stalls in the street because they are impoverished because they don't have to. If The gambia wants to clean its country then it needs to start with the improvement of it's peoples welfare, not just come in with a heavy hand and oppress an all ready oppressed population. This would be approved in the eyes of God.
