Uff totalmente.
Encore merci.
Thank you fo uploading this! Very pity I am ashamed a bit how the interviewer was and his some unrelevant questions....which nothing about with the art itself😅Ivo was at the beginning of his career, the interviewer would feel ashamed too to see this...no?😁😉Ivo react very polite and kind, which shows his maturity and wisdom. 👍Looking forward to listen him in Liege next month!!!
Honestly, I don't get all of these so negative comments about the interviwer. It's a tv program, I think he did his job, without looking scared by the great personality of his guest. And some questions were interesting
When he responded to Ivo when he said that the left hand was more important in the piano the interviewed says that you learned on Moscow was fun but at the same time gave me cringe idk
It is good to see that the "Tadziu" of the grand piano-forte can actually smile without breaking his face. Ha! Human after all!! Who would'a thunk it? His comment regarding being able to be modest because affordable, reminds one (this one at least) of a treasurable reported moment of honest Meyerbeer's . . . Journalist: "Maitre Meyerbeer, your wall is bristling with honors and medals! Ha! Poor Chopin has NONE!!" Meyerbeer: "Ah, as you say it is so but, you see Monsieur, Chopin has no need of them." Now, THAT is true modesty as proved.
What a wonderful surprise is this interview with Ivo Pogorelich and Adriaan van Dis! One of these old polite interviewers who are able to be so open to their guests, make them feel comfortable, I am really happy to see that Ivo is having fun too! And his last comments are very charming!
Here we view "The Tadziu of the grand piano-forte" appearing as an actual HUMAN BEING! The record companies' promo departments had made him seem the "stone face" -- "sour" -- "too serious," all quotes of Heifetz's, regarding how he was described by critics. Pogorelich, as we now see, is imbued with considerable charm, to add to his extraordinary pianistical prowess.
Pogorelich has an air of superiority that stands of in Holland. He shouldn't have done this. Adriaan van Dis could be more humble when dealing with a genius.
Your comment is meaningless. They interviewer Adriaan van Dis is not one of the most appreciated TV personalities in his day and age - arrogant and conceited - very true, as that was his act. Stupid? quite the opposite. He simply reached the age where one realizes nothing we do has any importance, at any level of achievement. Ivo was too young to realize that yet - he sure does now, looking at him not being even a shadow of his younger self. Or, maybe he had a glimpse of the future, as proven by a very mediocre Scriabin performance.
What a lovely human being, wise and mature beyond his years.
How handsome he was..
He is both a genius and strikingly gorgeous. He has it all.
Adonis😊

The best program Dutch TV ever had. Didn't we all love Adriaan van Dis and we still do. His books are so much joy too. (Dec. 2023)

Absolutely wonderful! What a gem. Thank you for uploading this.
Thank you for uploading this! It’s always great to hear Ivo in discussion.

Excellent materiał.
It takes nerves to be calm with that journalist...
He basically quarrels with everyone, until this day.

Wonderful interview. Many thanks! Only Gazda has the best Pogo fan page. Stay well Mitke.

Wow what a gem! I never saw this one before!
He's still a cool guy

so many different opinions about Adriaan's way of conducting an interview!!!
Weinigen begrijpen dat de oren van een musicus wijd open staan tijdens het spelen en dat achtergrondgeluiden bijzonder hard binnen komen.
Hvala mnogo gazda :D
You can say that again!!!
At least someone utters the unutterable!!
Small etude…short Masterpiece of Scriabin with a nod to Chopin…but unmistakably Scriabin. Addition: young Pogorelich so good
Typical teevee "journalist". Uninformed, uninteresting, incoherent questions. Ivo was sooooo polite and patient...
Not only those features but, much, much more!
great!!
Thank you so much for sharing this.
"Does the piano respond to human feelings?" lol
"I prefer to be modest, because I can afford it."
This is great, thanks!

totally agree with his remarks about coughing , please don't cough while you have the privilege to attend a concert 🙏
Bio je atraktivan za analizu ali njegova izvodjenja ...ta muzika ostaje
this is crazy awkard
5:50w who tf is that guy just sitting there half on the stage???
Adriaan, you chose journalism because you are certainly a frustrated pianist.
Was this really the best grand piano that could be arranged for this unique opportunity... ?
At least there are two of us who recognize the poor quality of this instrument
The interviewer is arrogant, artificial, conceited, stupid. Pogorelich reacts very down to earth, intelligent.
Absolutely. And he is Dutch. Which already explains 50 % of it.
@@hdholl9696 Speaking of intelligence, and then making such non-substantiable argument. Your clue is in the emotion..

@@hdholl9696😂
which peace of Beethoven are they talking about in the beginning? And which piece from Scriabin is he playing? Thanks!
If very intelligent people like Van Dis act so horribly stupid it's very understandable that talents like Pogorelich feel they're superior.
The interviewer is a bit creepy somehow.
There are sounds of Pogorelich having aspergers but Van Dis is a stronger candidate here.
😂
Will anyone kindly favor us fans with a english translation of the bulk of the interview.
They won't.
Why? They are speaking in english.
Interviewer high n mighty, but actually obnoxious, interogating our pianist like she thinks she's doing BBC Hard Talk. Wonder what happened to her.
Absolutely horrible piano. It sounds like no one worked on it for years.
