I think your dad was spot-on. That's exactly how it happened for me too. It's something I wanted in my life, but wasn't directly looking for. 12 years ago she simply appeared, and we couldn't stay away from each other from then on.
As a recovering overthinker and hypervigilant person, the last line had me tearing up 😭 "this is one of those things that doesnt need to be figured out." A divinely-timed message. And I needn't even comment on the cinematography and storytelling. Masterful.
It’s incredible how love can be both exciting and terrifying there’s something so vulnerable about letting someone close, knowing they could either bring immense joy or pain. I think a lot of us resonate with the idea of love as a leap of faith, where you have to trust yourself to heal if things go wrong but still be willing to take that chance. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
I'm going to be 31 in a couple of weeks and still have never experienced a healthy relationship, nor do I know what it feels like to genuinely be loved by someone. All it was was heartbreak after heartbreak. I've now been single for 6 years and they've honestly been the happiest years of my life. However, I AM getting older and I want to start a family sooner than later. But I also know that you can't force it. I've accepted the fact that finding the one may or may not happen. I hope it does, but if it doesn't... At least I know I can be happy by myself. Love is strange. ❤️
Tha5s about right give it a couple more years and you'll find somebody sadly those below 30. We're 40 grew up in a different world where everything was at your fingertips, social media et. C. And they haven't experienced what I would call true love.Because another partner is just on your phone, waiting for you to swipe.
@@miamianz I don't use dating apps (I despise them). I'd much rather meet someone through a beautiful chance encounter than to swipe based off of looks and some text that people choose to write about themselves. 😂
Neither me nor my current partner experienced genuinely love in a relationship until we met each other at age 37 and 33 respectively. Stay patient. Stay loving yourself. Stay open. Stay hungry for your own life. And it will come. Neither of us was looking for it or expecting it. It wasn't even a thought until a few months after we met each other. Going on 3 years now.
I'm 22 years old and I currently identity as aromantic and asexual. I don't think I've ever experienced something that can be considered a "crush" or "falling in love". For my entire teenage years I felt genuinely broken because whenever someone talked about a person they liked or a relationship they got into I just couldn't relate to them at all. I've accepted that I'm not like most people around me and I'm perfectly fine without a romantic partner. I'm not forcing myself to be a certain ("normal") way anymore, but I'm open to explore all possibilities that the future might have for me.
she came from Spain, I came from Brasil, we met in the US from beings friends of a friend of mutual friend of a friend, both 20. 10 years later, here we are. As your dad said, I agree that love is not found or chased after, true love just happens. But it definitely is something you fight for, and I’ll never stop fighting. I love my woman
You and your dad are super cute. I really enjoy both channels, as well as your mom’s! I’ve been married to my husband since 1992 and we have a 30 year old son who is not in a relationship. I met my husband in university and my parents, married 60 years, met in university. My sister, together for 32 year, met her guy through a Jewish matchmaker. We are not Jewish, but she read an article in a newspaper about the success of this matchmaker. My son has said the same thing as you. It’s widely different now for dating.
In a world of full of dating apps, and the obsession to chase for love, it feels unnatural to me. like your dad said, I’m hoping for that synchronicity. I’m excited for that person, the one, to show up in my life. Or maybe I am the one who’s gonna show up in her life? I am fully embracing the mystery of love.
I met my now husband on discord as well! It was so synchronistic, so magical. I took a flight from my home country Germany to Canada over 3 years ago to see him, and haven't come back since (we're visiting my family next month first time)! My love advise (what I did): Love yourself the way you want to be loved. Say the things to yourself that you want to be told, take yourself out on dates and gift yourself meaningful things. Then you're in the felt experience of this love and the people around you will reflect that. So the universe magically puts a person into your life that can love you like that.
I met my boyfriend at my 18’s, randomly on my first time in a club in the “big city” (12 million people) while he challenged himself for the first time alone in a club (no friends). He made the worst move on me, completely incompatible with the second move, which was the cutest. I met him 3 months before I had to go on an exchange study trip in Canada, so we enjoyed all the spare time we could, in the end, he visited me in Canada. When I came back, 3 months later, we started living together and next year is our 10-year anniversary. We’ve been to so much together, anxiety, depression, moving to a different state and moving abroad and the funniest thing is that our family didn’t bet on us, they said it wouldn’t last because we were too young.
I loved this video so much, thank you once again for sharing your gifts with the world ❤️ I too believe in “fate” when it comes to finding that “forever love”. I met my husband of 14 years half way across the world (in London)- me a solo 22 yo Canadian girl and him a solo 23 yo Australian boy. I was never supposed to cross paths with him, and yet somehow the universe lined up for us to not only cross paths, but get to know each other in a very short amount of time and fall in love. 3 children and 14 years later… we’re still here fighting for our love. I think the problem these days lies partially in the dating apps and too many people afraid to leap due to this idea of “who else is out there”. I know for my husband and I, from the moment we fell in love, that was it. There was never any question of “how can this work coming from two different countries” or “maybe someone better is out there”… it was simply “we’ve found each other and we will make it work, one way or another”. Anyways, sending you much love in continuing your journey and finding that special someone when the time is right 🫶🏻
Your friend, the groom is right. Once you stop looking and playing games it's freeing and it opens you up for love. We've been married 33 years and together 36. It's work but worth it. :)
Beautiful video. We can only ever truly open ourselves up to love and experience it when we accept the fear of possibly being hurt. We really just have to trust and realise that being hurt is a part of life that can help us grow, and that being held back by the fear will take away so many beautiful possible experiences. Thank you for reminding me.
What a sweet and wonderful story! My husband and I met online because my friend is an agented writer and was holding a contest. The winner would receive a full manuscript read from her agent. She asked me to help her look through the slush pile with her, and I found a query letter that stood out from the rest. The writing was superb, and I told her she MUST choose this person to be in the final round. I loved this person's writing so much that I had to let him know. We were both married, and it wasn't about finding a love connection at all, but love happened against what either of us were looking for. We both divorced our spouses, which was very hard and scary, and he drove across the country to be with me. We've been married for over eight years now and have a funny, sweet 6-year-old daughter. We are both creatives and live a life of deep connection to making and bouncing ideas off of one another. We still feel everyday that we are having a never-ending sleepover with our best friend. Love happens, sometimes even when you are not asking for it. But it's undeniable. Neither of us had kids with our ex-spruces, but they both remarried and had each a kid with their person.
I am constantly looking for love, everytime I go out i think about wether I am going to find the one or not. Obvisouly it will never happen while I am in this type of energy, i know that. You can´t force love, thats a fact. I am accepting my feelings, even if they are not so great at the moment, thats ok, its a process. Big hug from Portugal!
I love the advice your dad gave - it just happens, I met your mom out of nowhere. Drew - we all happened out of nowhere - you’ve done it before! Relax, love life and it loves you back,! I think you’re on the right track;)
Great message at the end! Get out of your head and just live life. Over-analyzing is the antithesis of genuine love, it's a form of judgement, which is also the opposite of love. If you have to think too much about it, it's not meant to be.

@@ericamacs3875 valid, I like that their relationship isn’t perfect though. It makes it more realistic to me. Love is always work, and the movies show the beauty and the work. Some may see it as you do, not going as well, but I see it as a couple who has chosen one another again and again, and I admire that level of commitment. I wonder if they’ll do another one and how their relationship will have evolved since.
Another beautiful video- seeing the love you already have in your life even, just with your father alone, is amazing. Supportive of you in all your endeavors. All anyone can ask for in a parent
such a sweet, deep expose about falling in love! You and your dad are one dapper, handsome father and son duo! I'm always looking for and curious for your next video!
I used to be a total romantic, fuelled by books and film (often french). Now I’ve found ‘the one’, it’s so much more down to earth and just real life. If you think about it, apart from the initial attraction, there are hundreds of things that need to align to get together and then stay. After the initial being in love (which is great) it becomes just life. You get on with it and if you both want to stay together, can have a laugh (like being best mates) and can compromise, then you will stay together. After 14 years (for us) it’s not so much about still being IN love but experiencing real life together and accepting the other person isn’t perfect and still knowing you love them. Maybe I still haven’t found ‘true love’ but I suspect most people exist like this and I’m happy with my imperfect other half and our life.
Your ability for honesty and self reflexion is amazing, AND your are willing to share it. Thank you for that. Great video. I too met the love of my life unexpectedly, 40 years and counting.
It is so wonderful to have someone look at love and yearn for love in such a similar fasion as I am. Its even crazier to imagine the people you could fall in love with. Heck I imagine if I ran into you at a bar in my hometown of Rotterdam we might really hit it off. The absolute magic of this life!
The QUALITY of your videos, man! Gosh, they amaze me every time! Every shot! And let's not even mention the theme of the video and the way you address it. Beautiful! thank you for this high-quality content!
"There is a kind of sadness that comes from knowing too much, from seeing the world as it truly is. It is the sadness of understanding that life is not a grand adventure, but a series of small, insignificant moments, that love is not a fairy tale, but a fragile, fleeting emotion, that happiness is not a permanent state, but a rare, fleeting glimpse of something we can never hold onto. And in that understanding, there is a profound loneliness, a sense of being cut off from the world, from other people, from oneself." Virginia Woolfe
This was a beautiful and insightful video. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 8 months, and it seems like he has just organically drifted into my life and now i cant imagine life without him. Love is scary, but oh so beautiful.x
I’m usually not one to comment (total introvert here), but I’ve watched almost everything Nathaniel’s posted on RUclips, and it just makes me so happy and proud to see the way he’s living and sharing his life so openly. So interesting how you quoted one of my favourite romantic movie : Before Sunset. It is exactly how I view love and I am so very touched by how (I believe) you share the same view on it on some aspects. Thank you for bringing your outlook on love and life through your cinematic and genuine eye. It is so moving and honestly, your videos bring me a lot of comfort. You inspire me. Thank you for that.

Tengo una sonrisa de oreja a oreja ! Thank you to the moon and back, it makes me so happy the simple fact people like you and your family exist in this world and more when the ideas are expressed with such beautiful visuals. Gracias !
Your dad is awesome, and the two of you together are great fun. And both of you are delightfully self-aware and self-honest and it's very refreshing to see. I'm told love happens when you're not seeking it; but as with all advice around love, probably best to do exactly as you're doing--move on with your life.
Came back from work biked through rain and just as I had Time another Masterpiece of yours dropped. Also a wonderful Journey to the Bride and Groom
Waow this might be my favorite video so far! It looks like a little movie, I love it!!! I love the dynamic of the video, it feels very free yet I also feel all the work edit! I love it!❤❤❤
Let go of performance, embrace honesty, accept uncertainty and be a little patient within it. And Love will come to you like a beautiful bird. Wish you luck 🩵
At 45 and having traveled the world, my understanding of the secret to any long lasting relationship is to decide that love is worth more than self. If love is selfish, it cannot last and likely is not love. Love ultimately is sacrifice. If two people are willing to give up self to be on a journey together, it will last. The most profound piece of this is that when you get through difficult times, you learn more about yourself and develop a trust that is difficult to describe because it is something that felt. In short, to gain that long-term lasting love, you must be willing to compromise self.
Loved this video.... So raw and beautiful. Love will find you when/where you least expect it. In my experience, I left London and all the hustle and bustle to find my love on the road, cycling through France, in the middle of nowhere. The last thing I expected to find was love.
Excellent video. I loved this video it was so honest, fun and creative. Not sure if you believe in prayer, but you could ask Source" for what ever it is that you truly desire. This can help a lot. You can also mention to everyone that you know that you are open to meeting your soulmate now so you welcome invitations. Best to you finding LOVE
"...sometimes your time together is the teacher, and that is enough." Absolutely! Also, relationships definitely are a package deal-the sweet and the sour, all wrapped up with a big bow. 💘💝💖❤️🩹💔
I LOVE the Before Sunrise trilogy! It’s one of my favorite movies for sure. And there’s one line in the movie where Julie’s character says, “ I guess when you’re young, you just believe there’ll be many people with whom you’ll connect with. Later in life, you realize it only happens a few times,” and damn… that hits on so many levels 🥲
we come to this world to love and to die. and we’re scared of both
Hopefully through time and surrendering, it won’t be scary anymore
🔥
It’ll be fun to watch when it happens for you.

After 14 years (for us) it’s not so much about still being IN love but experiencing real life together and accepting the other person isn’t perfect and still knowing you love them. Maybe I still haven’t found ‘true love’ but I suspect most people exist like this and I’m happy with my imperfect other half and our life.
OMG! You absolutely nailed it! It was so much fun to watch this video😃
This is your BEST video so far, imo
You are genius and your family is extraordinary. I love you for doing this! 3:06
Your storytelling and experiences are so refreshing giving hope and broder perspectives ❤
Just gained a new subscriber and I love that you took your dad as your plus 1. Sounds a lot like something I do, I always take my mom as my plus 1.
Your ability for honesty and self reflexion is amazing, AND your are willing to share it. Thank you for that. Great video. I too met the love of my life unexpectedly, 40 years and counting.
What a lovely episode! Really beautifully shot and narrated! Definitely one of my favourites . Thank you. ❤
This video is so precious
It is so wonderful to have someone look at love and yearn for love in such a similar fasion as I am. Its even crazier to imagine the people you could fall in love with. Heck I imagine if I ran into you at a bar in my hometown of Rotterdam we might really hit it off. The absolute magic of this life!
I like your musing. And I love all the movie quotes LOLz. Glad you took your dad with you.
The QUALITY of your videos, man! Gosh, they amaze me every time! Every shot! And let's not even mention the theme of the video and the way you address it. Beautiful! thank you for this high-quality content!
I love how cinematic this video looks✨️ It's a very sweet story🥰
"There is a kind of sadness that comes from knowing too much, from seeing the world as it truly is. It is the sadness of understanding that life is not a grand adventure, but a series of small, insignificant moments, that love is not a fairy tale, but a fragile, fleeting emotion, that happiness is not a permanent state, but a rare, fleeting glimpse of something we can never hold onto. And in that understanding, there is a profound loneliness, a sense of being cut off from the world, from other people, from oneself." Virginia Woolfe
Don't think, just feel.
lately your videos are masterpieces, and this might be my favourite of all time. Authentic, gorgeous, and so heartfelt.
His work makes me feel... I don’t even know, something deep and meaningful. Wishing you all the best, Nathaniel. Your work has really helped me become more self-aware... and has made me like myself more in a way haha☺ also, really interested in joining your Frame by Frame course. What’s the final date for enrollment?
So interesting how you quoted one of my favourite romantic movie : Before Sunset. It is exactly how I view love and I am so very touched by how (I believe) you share the same view on it on some aspects. Thank you for bringing your outlook on love and life through your cinematic and genuine eye. It is so moving and honestly, your videos bring me a lot of comfort. You inspire me. Thank you for that.
Your storytelling is amazing, thought provoking and fun! Thank you!
Bravo! Love this, and love you and your dad’s play together!
Second time watching, it's so beautiful created, so visually pleasing, the story beautifull. Thx
The artistic quality of your videos keep getting better and better. Loved this!!!❤💚💜🩷🧡

Thank you for your lovely and moving video Nathaniel! Your content becomes more vulnerable and the images are beautiful! All the best to the newly weds and love to you :)
Tengo una sonrisa de oreja a oreja ! I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts, it feels like even if we probably never meet we all are connected and share the same dilemmas, curiosity and conclusions ! Thank you to the moon and back, it makes me so happy the simple fact people like you and your family exist in this world and more when the ideas are expressed with such beautiful visuals. Gracias !
Love this video, Nathaniel!
Your dad is awesome, and the two of you together are great fun. And both of you are delightfully self-aware and self-honest and it's very refreshing to see. I'm told love happens when you're not seeking it; but as with all advice around love, probably best to do exactly as you're doing--move on with your life.
This was so beautifully made, Nathaniel!!! You and your dad are a fab duo!! 🌸✨
Came back from work biked through rain and just as I had Time another Masterpiece of yours dropped. I resonate with this feeling of having hard all the same things about the Topic, but truly living is more important than breaking your had thinking about it, Much love to one of my favorite side characters Nathaniel Drew.
Also a wonderful Journey to the Bride and Groom
Absolutely gorgeous ❤ This film was so stunning and ridiculously human
Waow this might be my favorite video so far! It looks like a little movie, I love it!!! I love the dynamic of the video, it feels very free yet I also feel all the work edit! I love it!❤❤❤
Let go of performance, embrace honesty, accept uncertainty and be a little patient within it. And Love will come to you like a beautiful bird.
Wish you luck 🩵
Thank you for sharing, really needed this right now. Your best video yet in my opinion 💜

Dude this was a piece of art! was smiling throughout the entire video. Too good!
You are SUCH an incredible storyteller!! ❤❤
yeah, love is really scary. it is tough especially for people who did not understand it and have it when they were young
Awesome. Keep living your life.
I love this video! Congratulations to the couple!
Wow, another incredible piece of art 🙏🏼 and what a beautiful story ❤️
At 45 and having traveled the world, my understanding of the secret to any long lasting relationship is to decide that love is worth more than self. If love is selfish, it cannot last and likely is not love. Love ultimately is sacrifice. If two people are willing to give up self to be on a journey together, it will last. The most profound piece of this is that when you get through difficult times, you learn more about yourself and develop a trust that is difficult to describe because it is something that felt. In short, to gain that long-term lasting love, you must be willing to compromise self.
I’ve never seen a better synopsis 😊 Agree 100%.
Note to self
Purchase frame by frame in December
Love this!!
Loved this video.... So raw and beautiful. Love will find you when/where you least expect it. In my experience, I left London and all the hustle and bustle to find my love on the road, cycling through France, in the middle of nowhere. The last thing I expected to find was love.
Awesome work!!
Wonderful film making, it was a joy to watch! Love the reference to 'Before Sunset' too 🥰
Excellent video.
Love comes when lest expect it. Just keep going, be happy as much as its possible, it will happen. Love your videos. Jan from Australia
Beautiful ❤
This is beautiful. Given me a fresh perspective on making friends as an adult.
They make Adult Onlyfans videos 😊
I am guessing the Swedish girl was Lana Blakely?
sounds like her voice! I haven't caught on to that, even though they've made videos together
Yup! I guessed the same!
Everybody is gonna run now to Nathaniel's Discord to see if they can get lucky.😂
"...sometimes your time together is the teacher, and that is enough."
Absolutely! Also, relationships definitely are a package deal-the sweet and the sour, all wrapped up with a big bow. 💘💝💖❤️🩹💔
its always a good day when Nathaniel drops a video!
I LOVE the Before Sunrise trilogy! It’s one of my favorite movies for sure. And there’s one line in the movie where Julie’s character says, “ I guess when you’re young, you just believe there’ll be many people with whom you’ll connect with. Later in life, you realize it only happens a few times,” and damn… that hits on so many levels 🥲
perfect, thank you 🙂
