Whoa! Another amazing story. while you can’t share all the details, I do appreciate how much you did share. I love the fact that your channel is not just what you sold or what the top 10 comics of the week are. Others already do that, but you provide us with something different every time. Thank you
Wow you have done it again Bry! Every time I think you’ve hit your once in a lifetime find for your shop you go and do it again. Congratulations for getting brought in on this deal your reputation and knowledge speaks for itself! 👏👏💰💰👏👏 “So you’re saying there’s a chance” 😂😂
This story is VERY motivational! I just went to a local Comic Show and seen a graded FF#1 being offered for $12K.....I can only IMAGINE what yours will go for when it's graded. Very happy for you and your team
I've had a few grails fall into my lap. Over my fifty two years of collecting. Most were coverless copies. But I did buy a Tales of Suspense #39. In Sept of 86 at Jelly's comics in Honolulu, Hawaii. I saw it on the wall behind the counter. Just as I was getting a few newer back issues/ new comics. I asked how much after I looked it over. It was bagged/boarded. Around a 8.0 he replied $50. I almost ripped my pocket off my new blue jeans. Trying to get my new crisp $50 bill out for it. I wish I would have put it in a safety deposit box in a bank. Or bought a safe and store it in that. Sigh! Man you guys really hit the jackpot. The TOS #39 and FF #1 are in incredible condition. WOW!
Bry (and Jason), CONGRATULATIONS!! My favorite part of this incredible discovery is the collaborative energy that you all brought to it. Instead of one person scoring at the expense of anyone, you all have made this win-win for each party. You're even thinking through how you can have this benefit the presser (after their contribution to the group's success is done). Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
I'm not a constant viewer, but I'll check in more often for uplifting stories like this. The FF#1 is beautiful with those vibrant colors. Best wishes on the grades.
Congrats man! It's cool that you have the rep where others call you and share such big boy books with you and also cool that you advertise for the local comic shops.
Wow. ... this is what I look for. My day will come. I hit estate sales and I always check before I go if it was seniors who past on. Hoping I'll run into old comics stored and forgotten.... Very nice find* Good Luck with future finds.
Coming from a lifelong comic collector such as myself this is TRULY one of the most Incredible finds i've ever seen - We all live for this let me tell you, you are Very Blessed my friend.👍👍 * Side Note; If I ran across the very first issue of the Fantastic Four (Silver Age) I would have passed out - Seriously LOL
I love all of your videos but none of them have made me more exited than this one. How awesome to think waiting in houses in America ( not to mention your own backyard) there are gems in the wild waiting to be found. Congratulations on being part of such a cool find....!!!!! You are living the dream my friend..... working with what you enjoy 👏👏👏
My biggest score on a lot of comic books came when I was in Jr. high school in 1972 in the 9th grade at a Goodwill thrift store. I called my mother and told her to go to the bank and pull out as much money as she could which was about $50.00. What comes to memory of what was in the bunch was a copy of HULK #6 and a copy of A.S.M. #6 and about 50+ other early .12 cent marvel and DC silver age. Also in August I travel to Chicago and bought a copy of J.L.A. #1 IN A BOOK STORE FOR .25 CENTS. Those were the days.
My FF5 was like that. The marvel chipping was there from the get go. Had to do with the blades doing the cutting. Great find...preserve that stuff for generations to come!
in the late 1990s i found 300 golden age comics cleaning an old attic they were mixed up in two giant boxes of life magazines at that time i did not know a thing about comics...i offred to clean the attic for someone and the deal was if i found any old toys and stuff like that i could keep them...i collected old windup toys so i started the job and when i started breaking the two giant boxes of life magazines down i started finding stacks of golden age comics under the life magazines and that is what got me loving golden age comics.. when i pulled a wonder comics # 14 with a great good girl cover by schomburg that is what hooked me with golden age comics the thing is imagine what else is out there to be discovered
Love to hear Jason’s thoughts on LCS bulk purchasing of a collection. Specifically how seller can optimize value to them: I.e bagging and boarding all books, sorting and providing a detailed specific inventory, trade, consign, etc… does anyone of that which saves him time or other adjuncts increase sellers value.
Amazing find! I too have had that sort of luck lately, except the top 4 books from my recent attic find were 3 copies of Turok 1 and a Superman 75. 🙃 Seriously though, I'm very glad those ended up in your hands and not the hands of a shyster or even worse...thrown out with the rest of the magazines. Who knows what actually WAS thrown away that had value.
Great work and great finds, as usual. Hoping that you get that million dollar score. (Obviously, this happened before your transparency video that just came out the other day)
I would love to see you do a video on how to get started with comic investing/ dealing. Like how much do you need as an initial investment $500 or $5000. I don’t see any content creators really talking a out how to start.
The best way to start is to start. It’s so nuanced and there are many different avenues to take…I do have a playlist called the blueprint for flipping 👍

Wow that's nuts. I need to start asking old ladies everywhere if they need help cleaning their attics 😆
😂😂😂😂not a bad idea, seriosuly
Wild. I was tempted to work something out for the ToS 39 but that might be a little too high grade. Congrats on the legendary find.
How lucky that they just didn't throw away the magazines in the garbage, not knowing the comics were hidden inside-what a treasure🤑
Can you imagine how many times books like that HAVE been tossed out like trash???
😭😭😭 😩😩😩
Thats the stuff dreams are made of.....WOW!!! The colors just pop, and they are in great condition for the age. Congratulations!!
Amazing find. I’m sure there were some other cool books in that box. That FF is extraordinary.
10 Cents becomes 1 million ! Could not think of a better return for a dime.
A dream for collectors and thank God that we're not lost.

That looks like the same building that used to house "The Penny Ranch" which was also a comic shop in the 1980s...
Yep, same family

This would make an interesting TV/streaming series: “Comic Book Hunters.”
