The judge was right on with his decision. Maxie needs mandatory counseling I feel in order to get visitation. She made some terrible mistakes which cost Lulu, Dante, and Spinelli pain. This also affected their extended families. Great acting.
I see no fault in the judges ruling. Maxie needed to grow up and Lulu and Dante needed to be knocked down a peg or two. I was so happy for Spinelli. He finally was rewarded for being the innocent one in all this. Maxie and Lulu competition between each other was so toxic to Spinelli using him as a pawn to get back at each other.
If she had lied, then it sounds like the judge made the right decision. Just because you are the biological mother, that doesn't mean you should remain custody of your child - especially if you do not have the necessary ethical background/backbone to raise the kid. Nobody in society would agree that it's right to raise a heathen. And that's EXACTLY what you're doing if you lie and you're willing to lie - even if it may be for good intentions. People think that lying - even with good intentions - will be given exceptions. WRONG!!! The objective is to not lie at all.
This was the smartest decision that judge could have made while I feel bad for Dante and Lulu after falling in love with the baby, Spinelli shouldn't of had to part with his little girl because Maxie's a horrible liar and Maxie needed a parental time out, her decision making at this point was disgustingly self interested and reckless.

That judge didn't deny custody because Lulu and Dante weren't Georgie's biological parents (and yes, I know during the battle the baby's name was Connie, but Spinelli changed it in honor of Maxie's sister). Biology doesn't always win in custody cases. You could be a biological parent, but a piece of shit at the same time. My friend had a sister who lost BOTH custody and visitation of/with her daughter, and she was the biological mother. The only reason Dante and Lulu lost custody, was because Lulu was more concerned with hurting Maxie, then actually proving she and Dante would be better parents. That's just how I see it.

I don't exactly know how surrogacy works, but I'm pretty sure a written contract is signed. If a contract was signed amongst Lulu, Dante and Maxie, then the contract should have been rendered null and void when the miscarriage happened. Regardless of the fact that Dante and Lulu found out the truth after the kid was born.
honestly this story and the dante cheating on lulu were the only storylines i liked emme rylan as lulu in. i love her as lulu but they give her horrible stories and writing. since when was being a reporter interesting? blegh. i want ron back. he gave people good stories, and made the show interesting again.
If you want to win a child custody case on GH just be willing to share custody with whoever you're fighting with and ride that train till the end. Nice people always get the bebe in the end. Carly, Tony and Bonnie, and now Spinelli.
