Thank you for sharing your desk setup, I have been searching for a tiny craft space video for ages, I do not have a craft room, only on desk and some shelves like you, I am definitely going to take some inspiration in you setup! And I am so glad to learn that I am not the only one who is behind schedule with kids scrapbooking, still printing my daughter's photo when she was little and now she is 14😅
Thank you! I enjoyed your video! Your one-stop shopping idea for storing usable scraps with full sheets of paper was helpful. I want to try your idea of cutting DT cutting mats and use as dividers with stamp sets. I also liked your desk too!
Very nice craft area. Lots of good ideas. I used some of my alcohol markers to touch up some scratches on a bookcase and then just used a little furniture polish over it. That would work for you, too. Thanks for sharing.
My downstairs space is a desk. I lost most of my stuff with Harvey, so what was left has been consolidated. But you know I scrubbed all of my Sizzix equipment and dies, one at a time! and sunshine did the rest. Love the idea of acrylic for the ends of the colored pencils. Thanks for sharing your space!
Hi, from Australia! I am in the middle of making a craft area at one end of my bedroom. I have 2 white linen cupboards assembled by my son, daughter and 2 of my grandsons. They have 5 shelves each. I have saved up enough to buy 2 Ikea sets of the narrower Alex drawers, which will hold up an Ikea desktop when I can afford it. I am setting out a plan for all the shelves and drawers, and collecting suitable containers that measure the right dimensions. I am also planning for the small amount of wall space I have, including the back of the bedroom door. A luxury for the future is a comfortable swivel chair, as I am partially disabled. Thanks for sharing all your tips - I love organizing things too, and used to joke I'd love to work in an office supplies store!
@@AndreaSherman_GIRLplusPAPER not sure how long it will take - budget and health are always an issue - but bit by bit hopefully I'll get there! This week I am gradually getting one of the Alex drawers put together - SO exciting!
I have been using those extra large envelopes for my cardstock for the last 3 years. Always make sure I have a full package available. Love them. Occasionally, a side seam breaks open because I have "overstuffed" it but they are so inexpensive that I don't mind pulling out a new one. I also have turned them and cut off the open end, so that they are the right size for my 8.5 x 11 cardstock. Works a charm. No need to order two different sized envelopes. 😉
I absolutely love your crafty space Andrea and how organised you are. I am going to have to try and find those cutting mats here in Australia. They look perfect for separating cardstock and your die storage - which I desperately need to revisit. Thanks for showing how your space works so well for you.
Thank you! Those two items have really helped me to organize many items. I used to have bags of sequins and stuff just laying around, and these are a lot neater and prettier.
That desk is a workhorse! What a great piece to keep everything organized. I love the sleeves you keep your cardstock in. I may need to use those in my cardstock bins to store small scraps too.
Those sleeves are the best! And they have held up through many refills and traveling around the house as I put kits together. I really love how the desk holds everything I need. I just need to find the motivation and time to paint it.
I hope I can find cutting mats in Canada. My room is fairly organized, but not my cardstock. I have been putting it off (for years) as I hadn't seen an idea that I really liked... Until now. Thanks for sharing!
You've packed away a whole room in a small, functional, purposeful space. I ❤ that you added acetate for your pencils and your "confetti" 😂 those 5 for $8 buckets are FABULOUS 😊 I am soooo gonna start using a workspace wonder for layouts to do a layout share! Love you little cubbies too...PERFECT SPACE for those items!
I am just loving this series of ours. Isn't it amazing how we can all learn so much from each other, and that we can incorporate little bits into our own areas?
I am so impressed with all your storage spaces in that desk. What a find!!!! I really like the way you have got everything you need to work with at your fingertips. You gave lots of good tips. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thank you so much! It's all about deciding what you use most, and then keeping that close at hand and organized. My son eventually ended up with an excellent condition, used ikea desk that his legs could fit under, but this one works so well for my purposes.
Thanks for sharing your organizational tips for your crafting area. You did an amazing job for working in a small space! I love your idea to use Dollar Tree cutting mats as separators for your card stock. ❤ Monika
My space is just a little larger and I keep most everything with lids to keep dust out as we are not far from a quarry! I love your buckets and those clear containers, they seem to be the thing now, so many sizes etc. and make it easy to see the contents. Thank you Andrea, we can create in a small space if organised and your desk and that small space is great.
Thanks Denise. The clear buckets are great and pretty inexpensive too. And the ones that aren't clear, I just label. We actually live less than a mile from a quarry that blasts daily too. I know the struggle. I guess I just disrupt the dust on a daily basis, and I vacuumed up the settled dust before the video.
Love your desk! It’s so organized! You have some great ideas! Love how you have your cardstock organized! Tell me how you cut those cutting boards from the Dollar tree?
It took a bit of persuasion for me to participate, but once I really thought about it, I realized many people might have really tiny spots to sit down at while creating.
I have a question- when you go to crops or retreats, how do you manage your cardstock? Do you have a container with a few pages of each colour to bring easily? Or do you take the larger pkgs from your desk? Packing for a crop and needing input. TY!!
Hi Pam. I leave the cardstock you saw in that drawer. When I go to crops, it's rare that I ever sit down to create for myself. I would rather interact with everyone there. For vending purposes, I have a tall Iris box from Joanns that I have smaller amounts of each color in. The cardstock carnival sale that will be happening in a couple of days is a great way to get a few sheets of each color to bring along to the crops in that Iris box.
I can’t believe how many spikes you have in a small space! You have inspired me! Thanks for sharing! ❤

Nicely organized room, great ideas. Sturdy desk, maybe sand it down quite a bit and white wash it. Always hide the snacks!
Yes, that is what I'd like to do with the desk eventually! Thank you!

Wow! Amazed at how much you can store in that thing. So awesome! You did a great job using every inch!
It is really amazing how much can fit in a small space when it's organized, isn't it?
I am an organized crafter and ai love the efficient system you have set up.
I love your space and that you repurposed furniture!

WOW on the bottom drawer that holds your paper...I did NOT see that coming...what an AMAZING surprise (and storage solution)
That drawer is just unbelievable with what it can hold and how well it's constructed.

Not everyone has a large space. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing the links to the small boxes and those large envelopes.

What a great space, I got lots of ideas.

Thanks so much!

Great organization
Thank you 😊
Awesome organization! Love how you used Dollar Tree cutting mats.
Thanks so much! 😊 Those mats are so useful and tougher than chipboard, so they work really well.
Wow! I’m so impressed with your organization! I agree, keeping things close by encourages you to use them more often! ❤
Yes, it really works! Thank you!
Your space is perfect. I love it all. TFS xx

Thank you! Those DT cutting mats are such a great way to make divides that are really durable.

Thank you for sharing! What a FABULOUS space!
Thank you and thanks for checking out my little tour!
Cool little area! This desk is perfect! I would love to see your other areas too.
Thanks Kati! Maybe I'll have to share how I organize my "inventory" for crops next.
@@AndreaSherman_GIRLplusPAPER I’m sure a lot of makers would like this!
Love your desk! It’s so organized! You have some great ideas! Love how you have your cardstock organized! Tell me how you cut those cutting boards from the Dollar tree?
Thank you Michele. I cut them right on my paper trimmer. One pass and they were cut through. I was surprised how easy it was to cut them at first.
Love seeing how much you fit in this small space and how you made it functional for yourself.
Thanks Ettiene! That's exactly it, we need to make what we have work for us to the best of its ability.
Love your space! You can fit so much in your desk 😮
Very inspiring! I have a bigger space, not huge, but I can see improvements I need to make! Thank you
Thank you! It's all about keeping what is most used well organized, and close to where you sit down and work.
What a great space! So glad you decided to share!!
It took a bit of persuasion for me to participate, but once I really thought about it, I realized many people might have really tiny spots to sit down at while creating.
Many of us have small spaces.
Thank you
Thank you for tuning in and watching!
Great job organizing your space!
Thank you!! 😊
Some great tips
Thanks Kim! I hope you found a few tips that you can incorporate into your crafting room.
Wonderful desk setup! Loved it.
Oh, thank you so very much Kay!
What are the name of the bags that you have your spectrum noir triblends in?

I try to be organized but no way would it stay like that in my room.
I'm actually keeping up with it, because everything has a place to go back to, and it's all within reach.
