Thanks for this. Tore mine apart to check it out after sitting for 30 years and the loose parts all fell out. Could not figure out how to put the plunger and spring back. You covered it!

Thank you! You explained the "ramps" in the clutch and that was what I needed to hear. I assembled mine wrong and I did not have the center part in the ramps but the other slots.
Excellent video and a life saver as well.

the kick- mechanism also allows for pushstarting in any gear and aid in engine braking when the throttle is closed at speed

I'm working on one of these right now and this has helped a lot to understand how the engine works

Thanks for all the details, this is a way better intro than reading and looking at diagrams. I’ve got a 68 CT90 K0 I’ve gotta work on

Hi David. Thank you so much for your videos. They are so helpful in getting me in trouble. I'm working on a 1984 ATC 110. Do you know if I could split the crank case if I remove the head studs that go into the crank case on the passage side of the engine. I could really use your expertise. Please Help. Lost the gears.... hoping to split the case and replace the damaged pieces.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I've got a'67 CT90 K0 with a kick starter that doesn't move down. It's stuck in the top position and even when I put the bike in gear and try to push it (bump start) it doesn't turn the engine over. Could my clutch be the cause of this problem?

I need to fix my 1974 ct90. The clutch slips when kicking and doesnt fully disengage when idling. What may this be?
