Installation of Electric Water Heater Timer Intermatic EH40

This video shows the finished installation of a water heater electric timer Intermatic EH40 240-Volt. Please consult with a licensed electrician if you have any doubts or unsure on how to connect the wiring.
The main reason I didn't want to rerun a longer wire in which I just needed about a foot more of wire is because at the end of this run (about 20-ft) was the main panel and I didn't want to touch the main panel and risk being electrocuted. The water heater is located about 80-ft away from this timer. Also I don't recommend splicing in a short wire to make up in the length.

wiring diagram shows not to use jumpers. Did this install work for you?! Mine worked for a short while but I did not use the jumpers

I used the wires that came with the water heater timer to make the connection for Line 1 (connected #1 and #3) and Line 2 (connected #2 and #5). See 1:12 of video. Hope this helped! Please subscribe
