I love Jorge, his stuff is so pleasant to look at. But I also want to mention that he always has like the best colorist! They need to be mentioned here ☺️ Great video, thank you!
27:50 Jorge works in a studio with awesome artists with decades of experience who have been happy to mentor him. The studio he's in, in Spain, is exceptional.
I know this is an Older video, but But Stjephan Seijic is a digital guy, and a massive name from the Top Cow days, and there is also an artist by the name of Josan Sanchez. The stuff he does in digital blows my mind as well. And then of course Mike Deodato does a lot of Digital.
Jimenez is kinda hard to find work in progress or time lapse of, so it's great to hear some insights about his process. I'd love to have a super fun Sunday for Pepe Larraz.
Loved this ep. I'm really drawn to this work, but haven't bought much yet. Checceto on DD too, which I've been getting in trade. I love my traditional, but these two guys are really making a hard argument. For all the ease of access of models and brushes, it all fits in their world.
Nice! Always feels good to see a fresh post. Sometimes the timing just locks into a video just dropping! I hated to miss a few weeks but I've been working a lot. And then I had a computer issue with my graphics drivers I had to resolve.
@@RichardFriendartist Always waiting for New Artist or New Share of Works/Projects & is Worth the Wait. Excited for the Next Videos & Next Wonderful Super Fun Sunday! 👍😄❤😎
Wow! I love this! I just recently discovered your channel and I've watched almost all of the Super Fun Sundays, So AWESOME!!! please could you do one on Nicolas Nemiri?
Rich, what do you make of the use of what I call the 'charcoal rendering' that Jorge and others seem to be using? I kinda miss seeing actual line rendering to convey form and shadow
Thank you for covering this. I was just telling someone at ECCC that i liked Jorge's work but felt like it always seemed to perfect due to the digital nature of it. You have helped open my eyes to much more!
hahaha. Awesome thanks I figured some people would definitely know her name. I've never followed Teen Titans so it's tricky naming characters from that title for me.
A great all digital artist is Kaiju no 8 mangaka Naoyo Matsumoto. His assistant has a RUclips page breaking down the process ruclips.net/video/qvHbM-fuE1U/видео.html also clay mann? Jamal campbell from dc’s far sector comic? Francis manapul? Joe quesada is all digital for the past decade or so… brian bill and has been all digital forever
@@RichardFriendartist appreciate the quick reply! Love your channel!! Tatsu yukinobu (dandadan) Kris anka and Russell dauterman are under appreciated masters too…

Indeed. They work in the same studio together, too! 🙂

Love it, Rich. I'm a fan of Jorge's most recent Batman stuff, especially. He brings that energy and cartooning into a much more "realistic" style.

Pepe is so good...his colorist Marte Garcia is off the charts and one of my favorite colorists working right now. so great ide! Thanks Thaddeus.
Dude, Jimmy Reyes has a whole tutorial on inking digitally!!!

Awesome! I love JJ’s work!! I think another one of those draw all day artists is Frank Cho, or if he’s not drawing, he’s painting. 😂
Brett Booth
My favorite current artist! Tied with Humberto Ramos
Humberto is great too. I need to get a video of his work together!

11:37 yes, he does trace some things when making comics. Shows on his Twitter. He takes a ref photo of himself, and shows the afterward.
24:44 he learned how to use reference.

It's dry brush look. Been used for decades. Jimmy Reyes demos it on his channel

Two stroke, nice!

Great! do you know how to get dry brush like Jimenez on digital? any tips?
Get Jimmy Reyes brushes. Check out his RUclips and Gumroad
25:05 Brett Booth too.
Rich thanks for sharing your knowledge and InSite always amazing content, hope your keeping well :)
11:45 also in clipstudio you can import a 3d Model and click a button and it traces it for you pretty good. 😗
Do Pepe Larazz He is an amazing digital and traditional artist that actually blends both techniques
25:40 skills do not diminish, not applying fundamentals is what makes the work look terrible.
32:26 not Sketchup.
Great video. I found it while scouring the internet for that brush he uses for dry and highlight effects. If anyone finds it please let me know!
Jimmy Reyes has it for sale on his Gumroad, along with 9 other brushes
I think bird lady is Raven from Teen Titans
