I’m from Japan and I probably understand better why Akira decided to leave Yuki. I moved out of the country like 25 yrs ago so things might be a little different. However I believe people are still very conservative. Japanese have group mentality, and most don’t want stand out too much. I think two guys holding hands in public rarely happens in real life there. Also I was surprised to see Jin Shirasu playing Akita’s role. He is a very popular actor who has appeared in so many TV series and movies. Raiku who plays Yuki I believe is a rising actor. Neither of them have played in any BL movies which makes this movie so special and I enjoyed it a lot. Such a beautiful movies💕 I loved your reactions like other people did. You are so sweet and open minded. I was smiling the entire time. I never comment on RUclips videos but I just had to. 😊

Yes. Culture plays an important role in this drama. Living up to an expectation by society and family is very important. You should go to college, get a job, settle down and start a family when you reach certain age -maybe that was around 28 for Akira. He realized he loves Yuuki too much he tried to lie to his feeling. “Normal” means more like “ordinary” here. His mom is a little bit extreme but that’s why she was against her daughters marriage to non-Japanese person too. Also you got confused with names first because in Japan, guys call friends by last name UNLESS they get very close. So calling by first name is a big deal. Just for the side note 😊 Have you noticed Akira’s boss calls him by his last name and Akira calls a girl by her last name?
This episode helped us all get over the “Make Our Days Count” TRAUMA!! Imma still say, it was just a nightmare. They are both happy and healthy. That last video is nonexistent.

It’s like “we don’t know what the future has planned for us” He’s afraid... because he loves Nishi, he doesn’t want to suffer with the thought of not having him there And he realized that the night Nishi went to the beach search for the lighter. The worry and sorrow he felt for not having Nishi in his life made him realize that “he loved him too much” It’s not that he doesn’t want to be with him... it’s more like he’s afraid to lose him “Let’s stop before it’s too late” kind of feeling Edit: cuz normally, straight couples don’t really have that kind of thought. “Will we still be together?” “Will we be able to get married?” “Will we be accepted?”

I just watched this series tonight. Episode 3 pissed me off at the end. The last episode made me feel so many emotions while watching it. I wish that Akira had worked alittle more to earn Yuki’s forgiveness. I feel Yuki forgave him quickly but I loved the punch. I rewinded it a few times. The punch was epic. I didn’t watch til the end so I am glad to see that the years passed by and that Honoka found someone else and was able to be happy.
I knew i knew i knew, when i watched make our days count, i cried so much, but when he said he will go to Himalayas, i knew he will find his love reborn there, maybe his soul was waiting for him there, and now here we can see them happy in Alaska ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I finished Make Our Days Count yesterday, and even though I saw the spoilers in advance, I was more emotional than I have been due to a TV show or movie in a long, long time. (And I'm in my 40s, so that says something.) So discovering this, along with the fact that the author retconned the last episode, saying that it was Hao-Ting's nightmare, was an enormous catharsis for me. I normally don't enjoy reaction videos, but it felt nice to share the same reaction as you. Thanks!

It is my most fav japanese BL(it still is). And it still gave me goosebumps rewatching this time too. And the ost at the end(the last ambient) is one of my fav that i loop listen to even now(i really had a hard time finding it on spotify). I also didn't think twice before giving ten. And most importantly, i don't remember if i watched MODC before or after this, but i only recognised now that its MLs was the cameo in this, it made me extra happy knowing that haotian and shigu got their happy ending(atleast here). The name is "Restart After Come Back Home" It is a movie I have watched it a dozen times. It is set in rural Japan and the acting, photography actually everything is great. Try to find it ok, it is worth the effort - I lost the link to it sorry.

Weeellll, this drama wasn't as good as I expected from the comments. That's why I decided to watch it. I can't understand how the dude forgave him so easily, literally in minutes. That made the ending not emotional and just annoying, knowing the other guy had been sad while the other was married 🤷♀️

Weeellll, this drama wasn't as good as I expected from the comments. That's why I decided to watch it. I can't understand how the dude forgave him so easily, literally in minutes. That made the ending not emotional and just annoying, knowing the other guy had been sad while the other was married 🤷♀️
liinuli I agree. At face value I liked the happy ending, but I do see how him forgiving him so quickly after literal YEARS of letting him suffer is not a good look. 😭
