Timmy... you are a man after my own heart. I love the wilderness. watching you play the mandolin reminded me of my friends in Yosemite. we often had music night at my friends cabin. I played a djembe. I lived and worked 25 years in Yosemite. My health is gone and I live in Arizona now. I miss those days in Yosemite. Thanks for taking us along.

Timmy, you are not like that kid. You know the risks, you take plenty of precautions, have plan B, C, etc. This boy was an idealist-possibly someone
with mental illness-we will never know. But, burning money you may need for food and supplies, not becoming more familiar with the area and conditions-that’s not you at all. That is almost a suicide mission. Those who have died trying to get to the bus had romanticized the ‘adventure’ and were so determined to get to the bus they drowned in the river. Many others have had to be rescued costing thousands. That boy was no one to idolize. He was just someone too young to realize he did not have the skills or experience to back up his wilderness dream-until it was too late.

❤ Soothing and relaxing to watch after a difficult work shift here. Thanks Timmy🙏🏻 I liked the quiet ride along in the truck too listening to snippets of the podcast with you. It's all the little things that add up to a great video, having a meal, lighting the truck fire, making a coffee. Lots of different bits going on. Well, I know you're back home, ..stay cosy ☕ 🛻

This was one of your best. Because you enable close caption, I was able to follow very well with the special audio you played.
I realized today what makes your videos so very special, it comes from the heart. The other special quality you make someone watching feel as thought they are right with you. Epically looking at this on a big screen. I felt as if I were riding in the cab of the truck next to you and we were having a conversation. You are the tour guide and I am the tourist.
I was dying to see the small bike work and you may have that on another video. I would almost kill to be along on some of these trips. I’m an excellent cook, as I have cooked all my life.
Tim thank you for making all this possible for thousands of people and many like me who are older and live alone. I have thought of having an RV just to travel around in at my pleasure and make it my home. There isn’t a place in the US that I wouldn’t have medical attention as I am a Vet. I have to set up a pay-pal account and I should have that complete by Monday or before.
One last thought, I was stationed at Minot, ND 50 miles from the Cadian border for close to 2 years, way back when. Minot was a SAC base and I fell in love with the winter there. Snowmobiling was awesome, I now live in VA at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you know of the TV program The Walton’s, I live 30 minutes from that mountain. It was here that I learned to snowboard and did try skis but skis where not for me. At almost 75 I continue to live a full life. I haven’t tried snowboarding in a long time.
Again, thank you for being so kind and loving.

So cool to finally see the place where Chris spent so many months, and in winter, more or less the way it was when he got there, although it was spring as I recall. Read the book, watched the movie, tried to imagine the whole thing. And I don't think he was crazy, just a beautiful dreamer who was more courageous than most of us, he lived the dream. Yes, he lost his life, but he gained so much more in experiencing the wild, something city dwellers just don't understand. Current society is so wrapped up in safety that a lot are dead inside. Remember, rather die on your own 2 feet than live on your knees.

Hi Timmy, Love this video, these are the videos I love to watch. I have lived in Alaska 76 years and I can tell you, I understood Chris and have no ill will towards him. Those who ostracized him don't understand the freedom to pick and chose how you live no matter the outcome. They are so secure in their modern day living. Many of the gold miners who traveled to Alaska back in the day didn't know what they were in for and were ill prepared. Thanks for your support of Chris and your understanding of what he did and why.

A lot of people speculate why Chris took off...into the wild. He simply had an adventurous soul. One that couldnt be contained. He had the courage to do what a lot of people won't. Rest in peace Alexander Supertramp.

I liked the simple short comment you made about Chris. I think that he was indeed seeking a totally organic, unique experience and he succeeded.

Amazing episode. I watched the movie several years ago and have kind of forgotten about it. But what a great and sad story

Timmy, you and that Lonewolf have a lot in common. I imagine if you crossed his path, he would respect you and keep moving.
Thank you for the great adventure and this phenomenal video!

43:00 Out there in the middle of nowhere and you come across a wolf's paw that's bigger than your hand--I don't think I'm built for that kind of thing, Timmy.
Which is why I watch you lol

I remember reading that book years ago when it first came out. Still remember parts of it. Love your adventures. So glad you're doing it and not me. Loved my week in Alaska in SEPTEMBER. Spent many winters in Michigan and that was about the limit for cold. Thank you for sharing with us here in Southern CA where the traffic is sometimes unbearable.

Timmy love watching your adventures - thank you. I am not totally getting the reverence of folks for the bus though - the book and movie was very good, but now even a “replica bus”, interesting…

I really enjoyed the adventure and just moved in Fairbanks in Aug 2023 and want to start doing a little adventuring myself. I’ve been looking at maps and learning the area before, but will be going out this spring.

Great video... I absolutely love Alaska. The only bad thing about going up there is having to
    leave and go back home.

What a great adventure. I’ve been to Healy, stayed and made several trips up Denali. It’s great to see the area with snow and cold temps. I was there in mid-May. I love to see you using your adventure, mechanical and survival skills.

I'm delighted that I had the opportunity to hike the stampede (parts of it anway) and see the bus in Fairbanks while I was traveling through AK. I'm glad the university isn't just letting it rot.

That was awesome to see the the dog sleds, do the mushers put insulated booties on the dogs feet when it is that cold? The vastness and inhospitable landscapes of Alaska is something truly special to admire and respect.
The Lynx looks like a Skidoo because it is made by Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) the same company that builds Skidoo sleds
