This was a fun one! I found myself laughing at several points- I even woke up and said “ I’m gonna watch this later” and I DID! Thanks water change buddy 😊
The hydroponics hobbies is way bigger than aquarium. I'm also into hydroponics too. Been growing hydroponics for decades and even own a nursery business.
I squeeze a water change or plant trimming into every live stream, and there's leftover time to burn some cash on the aquarium coop website. Thanks for doing these, they're always a highlight of the week!
6 pm is a hard time for me to catch you live but REALLY enjoy your videos and hope to visit your Edmonds store tomorrow (Monday the 5th). Hope you still have the ready to go aquarium sets up I saw in one of your other videos. Keep up the good work.
Heartbroken to hear about the lights... seriously, yours are the best, and everything else on the market is full of stupid features I don't want and make the experience of ownership unpleasant. I hope you guys are able to find another manufacturer, don't give up!
Great stream. I’m sorry to hear about the lights… it’s a real bummer! I think vacation did you well though… you seemed very energetic and made me actually LOL multiple times. As long as you keep doing live streams I will keep listening to them during my commute to/from work!
Just loved this video. The rabbit hole about retail stores (Best Buy, Home Depot) had me laughing - so true!! I think anyone thinking about starting a business should tune in to your livestreams - there is always at least one or two awesome business nuggets to be had.
I have got 3 pothos in a 75 gallon Glofish tank. The nitrates in that tank are constantly at 0 and the algae in that tank is minimal. I run an Ocean Revive reef light at 100% 2 feet above the tank. Even though the light is blue the Pothos do great. I know from first hand experience that a pothos is as good or better than floating plants for nitrate reduction.
I know you like Extreme and I do also, but the issue that I have with Extreme is that the ingredients are very similar across most of their products. I still love and the fish go nuts over the Extreme Krill Flake. My bottom feeders love the Northfin Kelp Wafers and the ingredients are awesome.
I just did this three days ago to set up a 40gallon breeder after the 10gallon I had my female betta in cracked. I used her plants along with several plants from my other tanks. Along with multiple pieces of driftwood. I put in sponges from two different filters as well. Have yet to have any issues with it. All the tanks I pulled from are at least a year established.
You should own the design. Basically its your product regardless of who makes it. I'm sorry for this issue Cory and team Co-op. I wish you luck finding a new manufacturer.
Caring for aquatic plants can be very troublesome. If you are not going for a planted design, but want a healthy aquarium, then I would recommend a sump (a separate tank for hornwort, elodea or nayas that is connected to the fish tank) or a phyto-filter.
"Unload your bank account onto our website" Ugh. Between you guys and Dan's fish, I feel like i do that all the time 😂 My wife certainly makes me feel like i do!
Are there any reliable digital testers for freshwater aquariums out there? I'm not looking for lab grade, I just want something on par with test strips and chemical testers. I don't have the best color vision and some shades and colors don't really stand out to me. Hannah has some testers but a lot of them seem to be for marine aquariums.
The new norm is retail not having what you "need now" because you can purchase and ship from free on the website. You don't know how many times I've gone to Target to buy something I needed immediately and they didn't have it. Recently I need dry erase markers...
Does anyone have any advice on keeping fish tanks in a “mobile home”? For clarification it is NOT on wheels. But the floors and walls are not that of a normal house. So worried about keeping fish again as I don’t want to damage the floors in the mobile home!
Be careful what you wish for - I've been feigning for a Wild Caught Cory coin for a long, long time. I hope you're ready to see nothing left on the website. 😂
@@AquariumCoop Your reply means a lot to me 🙂, I run a small store in India and have UV Sterilizers. was not sure if it would help in planted tanks. thank you again for the reply
Kinny will be glad you mentioned his store!!! Its great!! He has a whole wall of your products!!!
Your videos are the best.
I know its the real deal.
Thank you for doing this and helping so many people

Rolling with the punches is not ever an easy experience. No other choice but to move on..let it go. Wish you success in your next endeavor!

Sorry to hear about the lights. Hopefully, I can get my hands on one before they are gone for good.
Thanks for the great advice Cory.
2 hrs of cory!!! ❤
Thank you for the advice, Cory. It was my wife Sandy and I that you spoke to at the Store 😊
Ah, thanks for the follow up :)
So informative

I'm so sad to hear about the lights! They are amazing and now I need to stock up.
Thanks for the advice. I'm setting up a 125 gal tank and I was concerned about how long/how well the tank would handle ammonia
So sorry to hear about the lights. That’s a bummer for all of us.

Lovely
OMG, I can't believe you're losing your light manufacturer!
What happened to under gravel filters I don't see them used anymore. Why?
I honestly believe it's because they were a cheap filter but odd shaped so shipping them is expensive.
I am in need of floater plants do you carry any?
Around here there are no actual so called discount stores! On line can be cheaper and if you need a refund it’s done online to.

KISS...if the random plant deal is going well don't change it. I'm sure there's a gambling factor that some buyers enjoy. Keep it simple silly

Do I have to run a filter when cycling a planted tank or wait until the fish go in
I do run a filter, but I want to see good plant growth before adding fish
I paid 30 bucks at Petco for a tangerine koi male betta
So is it true that if your ph falls, the plants won't grow?
DO YOU USE UV STERILIZERS IN YOUR PLANT HOLDING TANKS
Yes small ones. We can get green water when we are low on plants if we don't. Because we are auto dosing fertilizers.
