  • @lharb704
    @lharb704 8 лет назад +62

    I don't get it. This car is really inferior to the Mazda 3 in just about every way (with the exception of the AWD option which is not really a concern for me), yet I recently test drove both of them and if I were to buy one tomorrow, I'd probably get the CX-3. I can't even begin to explain why. Just something very appealing about it that defies logic.

      HAHAHAHA!! laughed out loud when i read this! thank you for saying what I couldn't find the words. I bought my CX-3 in April, and I absolutely love it. can't explain why, but as you put it - it defies logic. i think my senses pop and come alive the moment I flip the 'Sport' knob. yes, that and the paddle shifters just about justifies the entire package. don't forget the gorgeous supermodel curves and design angles.

      I agree. Everything in my brain knows the 3 is the better car and better buy, but heart and soul wants the cx3. Waiting for the 5 year refresh. Hoping for more power and a redo of that terrible arm rest cup holder situation it has going on.

    Well, it's the only way the U.S. market can get their hands on a modified gen 2 Mazda2. As someone who has owned 3 Mazdas, I was really curious and test drove the GT. It handled fine, but the front seats were a bit narrow like a Nissan 370z's, and the cabin was a bit noisy, even for a Mazda. I'm 5'10 and 175 lbs (I think Micah weighs less than me). The Lane Departure Warning system makes an odd rumbling / vibration noise which makes you feel like you're driving over a bunch of reflectors. On top of that, the price is too high. It's priced more than a Mazda3 hatchback at comparable trim levels.

    Beware if you’re buying this car. My 2016 CX3 GT AWD and been back to the dealer 7 times with major problems. No a/c...compressor replaced. Bad front wheel bearing replaced. No radio, no navigation...after 4 visits they finally replaced entire system. I’ve replaced passenger side wiper blade twice because it doesn’t properly make contact to clean the window....still no good. Hopefully it will catch fire and I’ll get an insurance check and not buy another one.

My son and I (both 6' and over 200lbs) thinks it's TIGHT. Too narrow. Not a problem for legroom, etc. Just width. It drives great. Fun little car. It could NOT be my daily driver. HI, I have a question: I own a Mazda3 here in Colombia where services are recommended to be done every 5000 kilometers (3106 miles) which I think is waay too often! I want to know the maintainance in the United States. I found out in Canada is every 8000 mi which is12874 kilometers and when I made the conversion I was shocked, but I also noticed that the said maintainance is made to canadian driving conditions which made me wonder that check ups in Colombia are more often because of the poor quality of our streets... Anyway too much info for such a little info tip I wanna know. And yes im typing this in all KBB Mazda reviews :)

    I've been at a standstill for a month, trying to decide between this and the mazda 3. AWD would be nice where I am but not a necessity. It's just me using it, and I never really have a bunch to haul. Both cars drive great. I feel the 2.5 in the mazda3 is obv quicker, but this cx3 seems to handle better. The one thing I need to know (here in western canada), is what the resale will be like on the cx3. I have no doubt the hrv resale will be solid. The mazda3 resale is predictable, but with the cx3 being launched here just a year ago, I have no idea how they will hold their value. Thoughts anyone? One day I wake up, it's the 3... the next day, it's a cx3... and back and forth and back and forth, etc, etc. I can't decide. Resale??????

    i was torn between the cx 3 and the 3 hatch. after test driving them back to back i had no choice but to get the 3. i was rooting for the cx but the 3 is so much faster and the interior has so much. more space. the cx 3 was a dog after being in the 3 and i could get it in stick in the gt version. no 4x4 but the 3 is just so much more complete. and more storage wich is a factor for,me too. why they put a 3 on a 2 chasis and underpowered it is beyond me should have called it a cx 2. mazda needs to get the speed 3 out there or when this lease is up i will be a mazda man no more.

      Isaac Fox I actually did think about that after posting that first comment, and you are correct. If you are looking for AWD, the Mazda 3 will not fill that void while the CX-3 most definitely will.
      I will also admit that when it comes to looks (subjective), I think the CX-3 is beautiful. The Mazda 3 is also very good looking, but I think the CX-3, being the newer design, looks even better.

    • @boldyo
      @boldyo 9 лет назад

      +Isaac Fox A good set of snow tires makes AWD unnecessary, unless you are planning a trip across the Arctic Tundra, in which case you will want AWD and snow tires and maybe Jeep like ground clearance. Get a Mazda 3 with snow tires, and you will have a sportier ride, more room, a more powerful engine, and will do better in the snow than a CX-3 AWD with all season tires. If you just like sitting up higher, and want an easier to park(shorter length) vehicle, or you are really enamored with the appearance, then the CX-3 with FWD and snow tires would be a good bet.

      It is called Sub-compact SUV, not RC; there is no such a terminology. CX-3 drives better than even HR-V. It is made by the zoom zoom company.
