Let's not forget that Bethany Hamilton also has one arm. The other was bitten off by a shark when she was 13. One of the best professional surfers to do it, missing a significant amount of the body which a surfer would use to balance, and overcoming the trauma of a shark attack to compete in an ocean-based sport. Legend.

Everytime i am surfing my local break when its cold i think of her having to paddle out 1 handed and it gives me a little boost to toughen up and get at it.

It just happened and she dealt with it like a legend. She did, however, choose to put in the work to overcome the trauma of the attack and compete in professional surfing again. And I'd say that was definitely worth it. Wouldn't you?

Just FYI why that cricket catch was amazing at the beginning. If you catch someone they’re out. So far so good. BUT if you catch outside the boundary (the rope) it won’t count. So the fielder, realised she was going to hit the floor outside, threw the ball into the air AND THEN re caught it inside. She worked all this out before her foot touched the ground on the initial catch.
It's been a pretty common move in cricket for a few years. The athleticism and coordination is always impressive, but not there's not a lot to 'work out' in what's now a standard move. (Not saying I could do it, ofc. :) )
It's a very common catch, nothing special though

Love Bethany Hamilton. She lost an arm as a teen while surfing with her friend and friends dad, from a shark attack. But she didnt let it stop her from surfing. She went on to participate (and i belive atleast podiumed) in tournaments, got a sponsorship, and more. If you want to learn more, Soul Surfer is a great movie, its actually a movie bout her.

You missed a difference in the womens euro's this year - when women footballers get tackled they fall over, get up continue the game get on with it, unless the tackle is so hard they get stretchered off. In the mens football, they get tackled, they hold their roll on the floor waiting for ref to book the other player.

Wait, that suggestion for having the men's and women's teams play similar times makes a lot of sense, might be a bit difficult with other tournaments going on, but I never thought of having them play the same day so you could watch two games in a day, if you want.

My stepdaughter was drafted into the junior feminine team for a big well known French club. Her matches were - bar one - great matches, technical, interesting , all in, everyone playing footie like it was meant to be played, no drama, everyone playing collectively, just a beautiful game.
Switch to the mens equivalent from the same club - Diving, divas, half the teams thinking they are god's gift to the round ball and not playing as a team...
I'm surprised that the women aversion of these sports are not pushed as far as the mens versions when they are far more interesting to watch as the games are played as they were intended, and I find them so much more impressive just for that fact.
The one exception was a friendly against another local club, but they forfeited the match by waking off at half time as the other team were into sneak punches, hair pulling and "break your ankle" tackles. Trainers and refs went ape. They came back for the second half, played for 10 minutes, stopped and walked off after the other team captain went for the ankles again, then punched the girl she tackled as she was getting up. Her team collectively decided to forfeit the match as that was not the game they wanted to play.
Women are also payed much less than man mostly because female sport is not that profitable for big sponsors so the investments are much lower. At least this is the explanation I was given. It’s all about money as usual
Not enough x-factor or crazy athleticism. Any man who's played and is solid in a sport can compete with women who are near the top. While for that fit dude to be competing verses other men, even in G-league, he's getting crushed in any sport.

I can think of two other times:

I know it’s besides the point and the video is meant to be funny, but she was lifting 335lbs. Eddie was lifting 1,102. I can lift 335 but would bleed out of more places than just my nose if attempting to lift 1,102.
