Top tips for refuelling during an ultramarathon

  • We asked Montane athlete and registered sports dietitian, Renee McGregor, to share her top tips for fuelling during an ultra marathon:
    1) Start taking on fuel early within the first 20-30 minutes
    2) Do lots of testing to figure out what works for you but also to train your gut to fuel at race pace
    3) Always have something you look forward to eating - Renee's is a Snickers bar!
