I honestly never realized just how much buffs and debuffs can carry you at least on the default difficulty. I knew they were powerful, but I never knew that they are so powerful that you can have a sub-optimal weapon, barely any high stats and still kill bosses in seconds. Anyway, out of curiosity, why don't you enable the option to automatically skip cutscenes? Wouldn't that save you lots of time in the long run? Also, I don't know why Nioh speedruns barely get any attention. The shit you do here is impressive. You earned yourself a subcriber!
Yeah, buffs are ridiculously overpowered in this game lol. I am curious how strong they'll be in the second game. You only automatically cancel cutscenes on the 2nd and subsequent attempts, not on the first. In an optimal run where you don't die you don't save any time. And for me I also noticed that it really fucks with muscle memory having them skipped automatically. There some fights where I have to do specific inputs at the start. So when I practice them I skip the cutscenes manually like in a real run to have my muscle memory consistent.
That's insane run Den. Can you teach me please how u do iai cheese? I mean what inputs I need to use. I always fail it :( why r u using low stance? what do u press after successful iai from behind?
It's the best game ever, hope you give it another go. If it helps, builds don't matter so much in this gane, just level the stats for whatever weapons you want and you'll be good
I tried to refund it but had it in my library for years so just forced through it. It was worth it but for pc the controls are dog shit. Good game, hope the sequel has better optimization for pc

Reaper can be used in any stance. Make sure in the skill assignment tab that reaper is your mid-stance Guard + Quick Attack skill. You likely have something else assigned.

Several hundred hours for sure. Hard to give an exact estimate, since total playtime is not tracked on the PS4. My casual savefiles have around 600 hrs, I'd guess speedrunning/practice is a bit more than that?

this game is so confusing i uninstalled it lol now i want to go back to it but even when youtubing videos for tips and builds im more confused :(

Reaper can be used in any stance. Make sure in the skill assignment tab that reaper is your mid-stance Guard + Quick Attack skill. You likely have something else assigned.
