  • I strolled through Chinatown (Bangkok) on a weekday.
Compared to weekends, some shops are not open, but you can leisurely browse around the shops. On weekends, it's crowded and it's difficult to walk.
Bangkok's Chinatown street food scene is one of the most vibrant dining destinations in the Thai capital. Centered around Yaowarat Road, the street food stalls here attract not only locals but also travelers from all over the world. The area becomes particularly lively from evening until late at night, known for its diverse cuisine and unique atmosphere.
Exploring the area and interacting with locals can also add to the enjoyment of your culinary adventure.
    Tips for Visiting
1.Visit at Night: The street food scene is most vibrant in the evening and late at night. This is the best time to experience the local food culture fully.
2.Bring Cash: Many stalls do not accept card payments, so it's important to have cash on hand.
3.Eat in Small Portions: If you want to try different stalls, it's advisable to eat small portions at each. This way, you can enjoy a variety of dishes.
    Types of Stalls and Dishes
In Chinatown's street food area, a wide variety of dishes are available. From traditional Chinese cuisine to Thai dishes and the fusion of both cultures, there's a broad selection to choose from. Here are some of the most popular dishes:
There are several shopping areas around ChinaTown.
It is now June and it is the rainy season in Thailand.
Therefore, when it rains it is difficult to eat at the food stalls.
You can shop at Sampheng Market in covered areas, but in uncovered areas you can't even walk without an umbrella or rain gear.
This time we will introduce Sampheng Market in the rain.
Also, the food stalls on Yaowarat Road are closed on Mondays. However, the restaurants are open, so you can still enjoy a meal.
We will also introduce this in the video.
