Hill hold feature is being provided across all variants of Seltos which was previously missing. An important feature that gives extra points to Seltos vs Creta.
i have recently booked Kia seltos HTK+ iMT, the new models have Hill Hold assist. but its always advisable to use park brake on such slopes to avoid roll back unless there too much traffic.
Hill Start Assist temporarily stops you rolling backwards or forwards when making a hill start. The system works by maintaining pressure to the braking system for an extra 2.5 seconds, giving you more time and control as you move your foot from brake pedal to accelerator. Yes, it is a little shortcoming of seltos.

For a novice driver it maybe an issue with manual too. KIA would have done a lot of R&D before getting this iMT, its not an "ISSUE" but maybe its practise or awareness that one should have which you have tried explaining, good job, next, go to a hill station during peak traffic and then post a vlog, best of luck
Aditya i am planning to buy 2023 HTK plus petrol iMT phase 1. Do you got any engine heating issues on continuous running. Do you get the beep sound after 80 km/h & 120 km/h speed. Can we stop the beep sound which comes after 120km/h ?
engine beep sound cannot be stopped normally...there is no engine heating issues i travelled 500 km at single run...but i think imt petrol has been discontinued...
Yes IMT petrol has been discontinued. Now phase 2 has diseal IMT but if i bought the phase 1 IMT petrol. Will it affect me in long run like service & parts way.
i dont think so already so many imt cars are on road...and engine is same...imt transmission is installed on that engine...and imt is coming in diesel sonet venue etc...so spare parts may not be a problem
If I understood if we have to start on hill or steep slope then first we have to apply hand brake and then release peddal brake and then put on accelator and then finally once it starts can we release the hand brakes? correct the steps for me if I understood wrong

I think imt diesel seltos option is best to buy milleage also getting around 17 hill assist also there till 22 millege is getting for 15 lack and buy at or amt or CVT bcs future in automatic gear box system
This iMT model of Seltos doesn't have hill control so there was lot of ambiguity on how to manage on slopes with iMT. It's a very informative and useful video, thank you for spreading awareness , god bless 🙂
creeping function takes time as per the road conditions.....on plane surface it starts creeping instantly.....but for uphill it would take a little time to creep...and in that time car would have gone 4 to 5 feets back....
While turning you have to take sufficient gap from the object which is on the side of turning direction….bcoz turning radius of rear side is less than the front side due to front wheel drive system….suppose you r turning left then take sufficient gap from objects on the left side so that the rear side can pass….

It has break assist and hill assist as per the two leading websites on auto sector.... Give me some time i will tell you after confirming with dealership...

One annoyance is having to force downshift after bumps/breaker because car won't allow picking up at example, 3rd gear once it slows down beyond a point. So there is a 3-4 seconds gap there before I can get back to desired speed. Nothing major though.
@@realSatissH on highways average mileage is 15 to 16, in city you will get around 12 to 13 and if you knowingly drive car smoothly to get maximum mileage it can go up to 20 kmpl...please refer my another video in which i got milage of 20 kmpl....
I am using IMT at Sikkim we have 90 % slope here, your timing is not working. Work on it... I don't have any issue on roll back...yes roll back bis there but not even s feet..🙄
@Lashiv b Even manual car has roll back we have all steep roads here so slight rollback is necessary for take off but not as much in your video. If you immediate press acceleration after break then your car will skid
Bcoz using only right leg for acceleraror and break is standard practice...although one can use both legs in imt as there is no clutch... But it is against driving habits...
Big big issue. Huge safety risk. Kia Seltos imt is a big no. Its because it is India that the company has been able to market it had this been in a European or North American markets this vehicle would not have hit the road in this form.
We have every day number to bumper traffic in uphills ...we have habit of driving here no issues ...it's more convenient than applying a clutch ....i don't support this video.
the slope was very steep and i am driving imt since 4 months only...so may be in future i can handle it better....but at present this is my personal experience....
when I see convenience, I feel good with IMT but when some times I feel clumsiness (a little) I miss manual....conclusion- Seeing the value for money factor you can go with IMT.
yes that's true...I think in manual cars we can quickly release clutch as per requirement....and there is no issue of rollback in cars with HAC....but in IMT you can not control clutch that is why you have to use hand break on steep slopes

Hill starts is not need car is powerful enough to pull by jus 6-7 inch roll back
But this is what you should do on a manual as well to protect clutch plate. Use hand brake release in tandem while accelerating...

Once you feel that vehicle is trying to go ahead... Release the hand break... But do not push accelerator hard...

i20 nline imt and venue sxo does come with hill hold assist. So this problem is not there. It works like a charm on steep slopes
Now even new model of seltos is coming with hill assist...

that technique is for highly experienced drivers...
Roll back nahi hogi par we will not be able to release hand brake if it is in full notch...and you will be getting tyre burning smell
