We thank your warning from our Filipino Comrades to our Indonesian Comrades. We shall not let what they did to your country do to ours. We are one in our struggle!

Hello, but am I allowed to use this for the current Martial Law anniversary? I might use this for my school and im willing to credit your work. Thank you for acknowledging!
Correction: "Awit ng Proletaryo" is actually called the "Hymn of the Proletariat"/"Anthem of the Proletariat" because the Tagalog word for song is kinanta/kanta and the Tagalog wotd for hymn/anthem is awit/pambansang kinantahay
nope. kanta is a spanish loan word, therefore it cannot soly mean 'song'. this implies that there were no songs in the philippines before the spanish came. besides - hymn and song are interchange, moreso in filipino as there are multiple instances of different words (by english definition) being interchangable
The point is that the proletarians have gone through so much in filipino history, have struggled and struggled, and they must break their chains in order to be truly free.
Amazing song, sad that it has its communist/socialist undertones but nevertheless it encapsulates Filipino spirit of relentlessness and pursuit of freedom in the face of colonialism or during our troubles in the 80s, essentially timeless but it’s the voice of our nation put into this song
not sure how that's 'sad'. our people are naturally inclined to progressive, nationalist undertones due to our very same experiences with imperialism, and, naturally, that would reflect in our actions and of course our music.
Mabuhay ang uring manggagawa ang uring lumilikha ng pagbabago at kaunlaran ng sambayanan ngunit walang pagbabago sa kabuhayan ng mga uring manggagawa.
As an Indonesian this song gave me a feeling that I am not allowed to have.
Don't let the bourgeoisie do to you like what they do to us!

What's the point of this song, I'm just curious.
