The most impressive thing about these videos is that Michael makes top level play seem understandable even for us hopeless amateurs.

I really appreciate the 30 minutes format for a single pro game! Great concise commentary!
It's difficult to make time for the 3h+ live streams...

@2:40. I always wondered how I should play to make that white wall stronger. The elephant eye jump is something I’ve tried, but I never considered the cap.

thanks so much for the upload! to be honest if you don't post these, i usually don't see them, especially not the quality commentary so again thank you so much :)

0:15 When pro players play in these international tournaments, would you say representing their nation comes before or after the players playing for themselves?

I would say the players are usually playing individually, unless it is a team tournament. That said, having 3 Chinese players with Shin Jinseo left in the final was a big deal, and the Chinese had a study group themed "how to beat SJS".

It is quite amazing that completely different reactions to the wedge at O14 can lead to very close games anyway. O15 is 11% better according to AI Sensei. And the atari at N12 seemed to odd to me, it looked like it was strengthening Black. Baduk TV's commentator initially, as did I, thought about the atari at M13.

@13:59 what happens if white plays 13 at b4 instead?

    Great commentary!
It seems to me Ke Jie was a bit unlucky, as Shin Jinseo's mistake seemed a bad one (the reading seems relatively straightforward even to me), whereas Ke Jie's miss was a trickier read. But the last mistake is usually the most costly...

Didn’t want to insult, good try but a very weak and vague commentary for this game. Tq for trying anyway
