I'm trying to measure the voltage on my battery and it gives me a reading of 12.... It doesn't tell me the decimal place so I can't figure out if the battery is dead (12.1v) or has a full charge (12.7). I want to smash this multimeter.

Yes, it does not show tenths of a volt. It's a clamp meter and mainly intended for AC usage.
