1) doesn't the new husky sg13 model have green teeth 2) can you just regrind until the carbide tip is gone 3) roughly how many stumps would you be able to grind with newly sharpened teeth before having to sharpen again. I recently bought an older Vermeer grinder that uses these same teeth, I am fixing it up, but haven't used it yet. Thx in advance...
Not sure on color. And yes, I grind until tip is gone, usually 4-5 times for each one before they get replaced. As far as how many stumps, it depends, things to watch out for is rocky soil, rocks or metal embedded into the stumps as they wreak havoc and destruction on the teeth. With that in mind at all times, carefully I will get about 10-15 medium sized stumps before grinding, if i am careful. Kinda important to replace each set at the same time for weight balance, even an ounce off weight and youll notice vibrations from it, similiar to car tires.
Nice video. Going to pick one up Soon for my house, and a couple of side jobs. It should pay for itself in its second use. Home depot has a used rental for sale for $600 . Im going to look at it tomorrow morning. What's your rate for a medium stump 14inches?
Minimum I charge is 150.00 plus labor. The 150 is the cost if they went to a rental company and rented one. From there I'll add labor based on terrain. Location of stump, type of stump and how low they want it ground down to. On average a 14 inch stump a few inches above ground. Ground down 6 inches will cost 200-250
lol. the cutting wheel is 450 dollars if you have to replace it. the bolts that hold the teeth in their housing costs 25 bucks a piece. the housing for the teeth is 45 a piece. parts on this machine are expensive. but yes, that wheel is the original
Best explanation video sir. Thank you 🙏
My pleasure. Glad it helped.
Brilliant. Just picked up a used sg13 with some spare teeth included and this information is invaluable. Thanks 👍
Glad to help out, Bidders, thank you for the comment
