Hey Parnell! You really are the king of Cobblers!! I never though to make a cobbler from sweet potatoes!! Sort of like a sweet potato pie, but with the yummy syrup in it! I love that you put pieces of the dough into the filling. Then the crispy dough on top. Bravo!

Hey Parnell - this is a new and wonderful recipe to me. I've never seen or heard of anything like this but you have made it look and sound very easy - which is perfect! Thank you so much for sharing!

You did the thing with that Cobbler!!! That’s how my mom made it, only we used a Pyrex deep dish with a solid all over top crust and a lot of syrup/juice. Your rendition brought back memories. Thanks for sharing!!! You did an excellent job…

Thank you very much! I will have to try using a solid top next time. I could see this being really good with more syrup as well, but I was worried that it wouldn't slice neatly and look good on RUclips...but I'm sure it would definitely taste amazing!
I'm so glad my video brought back memories.
Thanks again for watching and commenting. I appreciate the kind words! 🍠🍋🥧👨‍🍳

    Hi Chef Parnell
I’m a bit behind, again, on my videos but catching up.
I would definitely love this cobbler but my family are fuzz pots with sweet potatoes. So I’m thinking if I made this cobbler perhaps I can freeze pieces of it for myself to have here and there. Knowing me, it will be every other day, lol!😊
It looks delicious and I do enjoy sweet potatoes and cobblers are so good for a dessert.
Cobblers, dump cakes, etc will be perfect for the upcoming holidays. With my family n myself, we seem to see each other at least once a weekend, Saturday or Sunday so it’ll be fun making your recipes.
I appreciate you sharing with us.
    Thanks a million.
Have a beautiful n blessed weekend. See you next Monday.
I did make the PB dump cake and it was wonderful and family loved it. However, you know their favorite and number one is the chocolate n pb. I haven’t made it with crunchy yet. It’ll be fun to hear if they notice a difference. I think they will esp my sister n brother, lol!
    Take care.

      Hi, Kathy!
This sweet potato cobbler is definitely worth a try. It's unique yet familiar and very delicious, so if you like regular sweet potatoes, I think you'll like it...and even if you have to freeze pieces of it, like you said, they won't last long haha 😀
I'm excited to hear that you'll have lots of opportunities to try recipes over the upcoming holidays. I'm sure you and your family will love them.
Glad to hear you and your family liked the PB dump cake. However, as I commented on the other video, I know that the chocolate cake is hard to beat--honestly, it's probably unbeatable. I am curious to see if they notice the crunchy peanut butter, too.
If I remember correctly, you've already gotten some requests for that chocolate cake, so I can't wait to hear how they react this year. It's always so much fun when you tell me about how much your family loved that cake!
Thanks for watching and commenting as always! 🍠🍋🥧👨‍🍳

    Looks SUPER DELICIOUS 😋
Something I thought I wld share. If you add a half tsp - One tsp of vanilla, It bumps up the brown sugar flavor. SOOO DELISH 👌🏻😋
    Thankyou for sharing. 🤗👩‍🍳😋🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

    No butter or vanilla?

    • @ParnellTheChef
      @ParnellTheChef  9 месяцев назад

In the filling, no. I personally don't add butter to the filling of my cobblers--or spread it on top--because although it's good, I feel like it interferes a bit with the other flavors...and it's more calories, too, lol
And in regards to the vanilla, I usually don't add vanilla extract if I add a lot of lemon or orange zest...but if you want to, you definitely can! 🍠🍋🥧
