I noticed the golden age of RUclips is over . Before it was so easy for us to get views but today especially in archery it seems very difficult even if you have a lot of subs historically

Tim Wells makes a spear now...looks nice and seems well thought out...
I already made a spear similar to the American Hunter Spear years before Cold Steel came out with this spear. I simply used a Cold Steel large Shamburu spear and attached it blade end and its spike end each with a mop handle. The best part is for the price of one African hunting spear I was basically able get two spears (a Roman Pilum and a Greek Javelin).

Great video Tex..you just get better and better! 🙂 I have the Samburu spear, Boar spear and recently just bought the American hunting spear..all great products. I love Cold Steel. Lynn Thompson is still affiliated with Cold Steel and also opened a new company called Never Unarmed and if I am not mistaken he will still carry the spears , blow guns and specialized stuff. Personally I would not even think about hunting a pig on the ground with spears, it'll definitely be a tree stand endeavor. At the moment I've hunted strictly with gun, bow and cross bow with the exception of the odd squirrel I have killed with Cold Steel blow guns and with sling shots. I'm looking forward to getting out in the field (woods) with the spears though.

Have you tried to throw the samburu with an atlatl yet? I've been looking at the Otsiningo atlatl from Thunderbird Atlatl and considering it's built for 7' darts/spears, I thought it might work well with the Samburu. Any thoughts?

I ordered both the American Hunting Spear and Sarbu Spear about an hour before i watched this video.
I like long spears for self defense on hiking trails. Just good to know you defend yourself and use it as a walking stick...

Legalizing spear hunting has been on and off the table for several years in Kentucky, but Frankfort bureaucrats, sitting at a desk, sipping their coffee, think that because if they don't hunt with a spear, nobody else should be able to hunt with one.
the spear was the king of historical weapons.
