Bonecrusher - AJC Derby 1986 Group 1

Bonecrusher shows his toughness and big heart to win the Group 1 AJC Derby 1986 at Randwick Racecourse which produced a star studded field. Wining this race Bonecrusher became the first New Zealand thoroughbred to win over $1 Million Dollars in prize money.

What a race, there were some very good horses in that race. Love the old races. Bonecrusher was one hell of a horse.

I always thought Bonecrusher was a better at a mile and a half than 2000 especially when he got past his 3 year old season I don't know why they didn't try for the Caulfield and Melbourne cups,he definitely would have run 2 miles,I guess trainers started switching the good ones to WFA racing to avoid the handicapper. Octagonal was another one I would say the same about.
